  1. Leaky top hose started again, only seems to do it feom cold, so im going to rotate the clip 10 degrees so it sits closer to the body and see it that stops it untill I order a new set.
  2. Can yours be daisy chained together ? Will save you a lot of work if they are. Like rick says it's really simple plus you've got all the wiring on place in the centre trom the clock
  3. I suppose it depends on waht your looking for in the map, some people I've spoken to say dunc is better at new age maps classics running a bit rich, but others are more than happy. Like ash was a bit wary of some of the things he'd heard about jgm but after seeing him work and the end result with his car he wouldn't recommend anyone else
  4. Its gonna cost me about 600 for mine so was half tempted to send my ecu off to esl get it put in returned with a base map then save for a mapping session. Least its beeaking the cost in half then. I've a holiday ro pay for before may too :-( Are you going ecutek rick ? Dyno mapped I take it. Gambit no chance in middle of feb !
  5. Hardest bit will be getting the blanking plug out from the top of the block. Mine was thread locked for good measuure. And the firewall grommet is a pain to get through. May be worth cheating and getting these :D http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180735824927?redirect=mobile
  6. Yep cracked me phone on friday so it's a bit hit and miss to what gets typed
  7. Check forester.org will be plenty on there
  8. Rollamite is getting duncan up in reb may be worth speaking to him as to what his plans are will be cheaper for both of you if he does two on the same day.
  9. Discovered the top rad hose weaping slightly at the join with the radiator, nothing major, don't think its the radiator as it's only 18 months old. So tightened the hose clamp and see what happens
  10. Maybe worth getting a meter or two as the stuff you'll be cutting into will be old and will prob split. You will also need this http://www.scoobyparts.com/interior/gauges-fitting-pods/oil-pressure-oil-temperature-gauge-fitting-kit if they haven't included it in the kit.
  11. All good mate as long as you can read the info thats all that matters, do the go amber at night if you wire them into lighting circuit? I only went for a dual one as didn't want loads of gauges, personal preference really.
  12. Thats just gambit nevet mind tge kids and dog !
  13. Lol it was only 56 quid delivered I think. These days the car is my only indulgence so I thought I'd treat myself. Only other cost were a couple of meters of vac hose and a gallery adaptor for the sender to fit into :D
  14. Thought about using andy forrest ? He's based up in scotland but he's very highly regarded its 'only up the m6 too'
  15. Top showing just oil pressure Bottom showing boost in middle and oil round outside. Can be set to cycle through both at 30 second intervals
  16. Stupid cracked phone !
  17. Have you thought about something like these ? http://www.deporacing.eu/catalogue/multi/ Only have to buy one :-D obviously the price jnvludes all the senders and what not. You could prob get them on the bay for half price but you'd have to buy the eender on it's own
  18. Haha, it was one of the 1at things I did when I got the carvjust to check if I was hitting correct boost and nice stable oil preasure I'll post a pic up
  19. I had sane problem try www.etsracing.com it's only a small company and he hand makes the stuff so fit may need to be trimmed. Scooby part and world do them aslso but are a bit more pricy
  20. What do you want to display ? If your ok with the basics of electricity you'llbe fine I fitted mine in about an hour. I have depo led gauges but there are others prosport are popular too. Think I paid about 60 quid for a dual oil pressure & boost plus another 20 for a dash pod from ets racing
  21. Have a look at the perrin stuff they seem to do a fair bit for the new car already. As for the I/c spray there are diy kits you can add but unless your driving the car hard all the time I personally wouldn't bother. The turbo likes the cooler air its drawing in from the intake side
  22. Warped head ? I'm not entirely sure mate but if you'd missed out on getting them skimmed maybe this is problem ?
  23. petrol stations have 95ron, i'd stay away from supermarkets as its generally poor fuel, your best of just sticking with shell as the vpower here is 99ron. There are some esso stations that do 97 but subarus tend to like the shell stuff better, not to sure which subaru tuners run cobb, i know the gtr owners have used it before syvecs became readily available here. Have a look at race dynamix, duncan knows his stuff and has experience with various software, Unfortunately another well respected tuner has recently passed who was down your neck of the woods
  24. That sir is a beast ! Sorry to hear about the ordeal you wnet through, at least you didnt receive it back from the 1st shop only for it to fail due to incompetent workmanship. How long are you over here for ? Do you have any plans to map it for uk fuel ? Surrey rolling road comes recommended by people on here
  25. Cat wise has to look/be like a proper manufacturer part and long as it's not stupid loud and not breaking windows as you drive by you shouldn't have a problem. Is it a completely straight through system ? I went from the stock twin cat setup which was dead to a sports cat, it only just missed the target values by a couple of percent as it wasn't hot enough to be working properly. So we had to re test using a different technique ;)
