  1. Always interested in builds start up another thread in the build section :D The car will need at least one cat in to pass the m.o.t unless you find someone willing to look the other way they do a visual check 1st. As your testing an import there shouldn't be any model specific co2 values just a generic target to pass, like many others here a doner car is often required for this part too ;) Basically if you find somone who knows what the deal is and as long as the car is roadworthy and has all bulbs working etc and isn't going to kill anyone you shouldn't have any problems
  2. Hi mate welcome, savage resides down your way so hopefully he'll be along tobpoint you in the right direction, Does the car have any cats in the exhaust at all ? Looks nice in the pics
  3. Well I wouldn't say started ive heard that gambit normally goes dormant this time of year, something about the cold playing havoc with his prowess
  4. At the meet or in golden acre :o Will do, I'll quiz her about plans for sat
  5. Not unless gambit's hiding on the chevin as a special surprise Golden acre is usually my prefered destination
  6. Its my birthday sat so depending what the misses has planned I may pop up for a bit. May even suggest a bite to eat at pub and take a detour down road
  7. stants replied to quit's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
Bolt in or welded ? Knew someone who had the full mashings with cross braces on the doors, he got fed up with having to climb over the sodding thing every time
  8. Matt what phone you on ? Mines a 1.60android app.
  9. If I'd seen him coming I'd have slowed at least he'd have passed a little more safely. Trouble with drivers like that when they crash they won't end up killing themselves but ruining someone elses lives
  10. Any further on with getting a window sticker that goes on the inside ?
  11. Hello welcome, have you checked the droplink ? Not sure about the newage but the standard ones on the classic are pants and always make random noises. I've just changed shocks and top mounts and still get a click/clunk sound at various speeds
  12. Nice to see original copies of the auction sheet for a change, did your brother get it imported ?
  13. Here's my contribution to knobbish driving this week, Bearing in mind it's on a 20 zone with two schools at the bottom of the street let alone the zebra crossing and cross roads.camera has issues focusing at night which is a shame. And new pitch stop is causing a bit more shake
  14. Mmmm lots of shiny goodness there mate [emoji2]
  15. Not a stupid question mate, we're all friendly and down to earth here, at the end of the day were all learning all the time so feel free to ask away, thats the best thing about this forum no one proclaims to be better than anyone else because they have had a subaru for x amount longer than other people. Anyway sls is the self leveling suspension unit on the rear of the forester, if you have a look underneath atvthe lower rear struts there should be something the size of a red bull can atached to it,
  16. If I looks like a dog dragging it's bum along the floor when stationary it's seen better days. Sls units cost an arm and a leg most people swap them out for normal shocks and springs
  17. Ah well good for at least another 100k [emoji51] rear shocks can be a bit troublesome if they are the sls units apart from that I've found them to be bulletproof
  18. Hello welcome, right bargain there how many miles on the clock ? Have a look on ebay as there have been a couple being broken recently. There are also a couple of subaru breakers I'll dig out a link dor you
  19. Need a v3 pipe, that one's slightly different I think
  20. Literally just put a little pressure on the manifold eased it back a mm or two and the bolt slotted in. I guess cos the rest of the mounts are worn therewas excess play there
  21. Having to make some more up as out of stock, I'm after a kit and a I/c to recirc valve hose too. The guys at sfs have been on holiday so a bit of a delay. They reckon all being well the week after next. I wanted to do it all at once but got bored waiting. Same with turbo blanket, sais In stock on website so I ordered one only to have an emal come back saying they are due in next week. Still it has to go under the tree any way. Did you have any issues with the pitch stop when you installed it ? Mines a couple mm shorter than the stock One so we had to ease the motor back before the lower bolt would slot home. No biggie though
  22. Sailed through M.o.t just an advisory on droplink again ! Looking back thorough the mot history appears to come up every 2 years. So picked up some super pro droplinks from savage for a fair price, got fed up not doing owt so fitted pitch stop yesterday Still waiting for y pipe should be here start of next month, and im not allowd my turbo blanket till christmas [emoji20] so theres a few more bits on the shopping list to come rear droplinks just trying to find an uprated arb for the rear too
  23. Sounds about right for those idiots it's a wonder they are still in business.
  24. Your fmic arrive yet mate ?
