  1. The cast pipe is supposd to be upto 50% more efficient. well Monday will be a whole different kettle of fish. Just got to remember to pick up new filter I left in work last night. The engine bay is looking good, getting there I'm not one for detailing it but whenever I remove a part the area gets cleaned and bits replaced.
  2. Sound yes, deeper note to idle and spool seems to be faster [emoji3] . Not much boost increase as I went to see a mate last night so not had chance to give it some Took a bit to get it to sit properly which was weird, maybe it's the sillicone collar I bought seem a little shorter. Looks good though cheers !
  3. Makes sense Clive I've just found the other article, says I should order W0404-19 instead, grrr ! I knew last night's parts swap was going too easy when I'd done the cooler, tank gasket and had a brew in an hour. Rick have a look at yours and if they look like the new ones I have give us a shout
  4. No don't give my reg mate ad it brings up a non turbo gl on the database. Even on the whitline site it says for 98-2002 but I did notice one for the rear looks like the front ones I have. Trouble is they just use a generic picture on the bushes. There was something on forester.org a while back but can't find it now
  5. I bought the ones I thought however there is one that doesn't have the three ridges
  6. Anyone had any experience with these ? Went to fit mine today and they are massive in comparison to oem do you have to use the whiteline mounts or am I missing something? These are apparently the correct ones for my year ?
  7. The service intervals changed with new age cars they have been getting more infrequent the newer the car
  8. Changed tank pump gasket and fitted the sti tmic
  9. I see you've posted a few events, [emoji1] not sure how many people use it every day as sometime there's no recent activity for days
  10. Have you spoken to UK foz yet gambit ? I know the owner is the same as UK legacies. I'm on the foz site occasionally shall I post up ?
  11. Hello what year is your car ? This thread may shed some light on it there's a link half way down to some sigma troubleshoot guides
  12. If your running a fmic no need for the scoop personally I like these just think it looks a bit nicer plus ulyou get the undertray http://www.rally-tech.com/collections/impreza-gc-gm-gf-93-01/products/scoop-delete-kit Obviously others are available
  13. Haha fair do's the standard ones are really easy to bend. Have Google aftermarket coolers there's loads around depends what your budget is
  14. Qhat you looking for ? Yours should be good for 350bhp all day
  15. Mmm discreet ! Would you vent it at All ? Mine used to get hotter than hell with just the scoop trying to do all the work
  16. I'm guessing oil catch can, may be worth having a look make sure it doesn't need to be emptied
  17. The service manual says different things according to where you are and how you drive, If I remember, the manual says, if you live in hot dusty countries a change every 3.5k is necessary again with hard driving, I think you'll be ok unless you want to put a different grade of oil to cope with the different temps, I know most of Spain is cold at this time of year. I do about 8k a year and do two changes, jap cars love fresh oil anyway. Can't hurt
  18. Yes and no in a word, you can adjust the tensioner but if you move it too far and cause it to put too much pressure on the belt then bad things may happen
  19. Just had a look it it, all you need is a bit of ally tube somone who can tap you a thread on then something the size of number plate to attach onto. Even more Ghetto solution, get a spare towing eye paint find something you can use to affix plate to and onto eye a flat peice of 15mm mild steel would do about a foot long put a 90 degree bend on it at the bottom bolt through eyelet and attach plate
  20. Why not make one ? I'll have a look at the perrin one see what the crack is, I take it this is for the front ?
  21. There's a diy how to floating round on the Web to gut the innards from the up pipe to save some cash instead of buying a new one, looks like that sports cat will be too long to keep the 2nd downstream cat. I think with a map you should be able to get under the emissions with just the sports cat. Yours has a load of sensors post cats which would need the map to allow you to remove the 2nd cat and not throw an eml. I'd wait for some new age owners to come along and chip in as my knowledge is limited to classics
  22. Fair enough, If it's the same diameter as your centre pipe it should be fine, that will take out both cats behind the turbo I guess, word of warning I've got a sports cat and mine still failed the emissions, maybe because it's not mapped but it was only a couple of percent over the threshold. Think your car has a pre cat in the up pipe which is quite restrictive. That would free up some power if you removed that plus if you were to run higher boost it wouldn't disintegrate and take the turbo out on the way.
  23. You'd probably need a fuel pump what ever your goals are as it's a bit of extra insurance. Warlbro pumps appear to have gone down hill a bit recently plenty of others around. Could always look at getting a fully decat system loads around on the bay. You would need a friendly m.o.t tester though. Not sure what yours would make with the stock cat set up. I've seen new foresters make an extra 20bhp with just a map and no supporting mods. Maybe worth emailing Andy with what your current set up and what goals you have in mind see what he comes back with
  24. Ooh some serious money spent, td05-18g I think ? do you have a dyno print out of the power it's making ?
  25. Go for a scoop delete rick !
