  1. You'll have to make a 'running in' sign save the agony of being baited by knobheads. How many miles you have to run it in for ?
  2. If your looking for something with a front mount cooler chances are it won't be a stock motor. As theres no need. You may as well find the cleanest untouched example you can
  3. Have a lok to left of steering wheel tucked under the dash plastics.(round the back) We had a customers legacy at work and took ages to find as we were looking for one recessed in it's own little cubby hole or behind a flap. Turns out it was just sat attached to the loom dangling down. Almost like an afterthought
  4. I'm good for third, is it at martins or venue still tbc ?
  5. That looks horrendous i have an issue with people who don't keep the interior of the car clean ! Anyway. Do you have the grilled scuttle area inbetween the bonnet and windscreen ? Mines full of dry leaves and i've not worked out how to remove them without taking half the front off. Might not be the cause of the noise or could be making their way in somehow ?
  6. If you remove the access pannel below the steering column you should be able to see up and round behind the centre console. And up behind the clocks. The piping for the blowers runs across the top of firewall maybe has leaves in ?
  7. I see you've not put wich year that may be ? Ash, is martin building it for you or is it being outsourced ?
  8. I'd say about now. Think the standard internals are good for about 350. I'm sure someone with more knowledge of engine builds will be able to tell you more
  9. Sounds good to me. Did you ever get round to getting owt done with he pics from the last one ?
  10. Jay, thanks for that i assumed the two were the same as the mazda wouldn't accept either. I know what i'll be putting in mine at next change now :-)
  11. Don't even think you can get dot 3 anymore. 4 is a direct replacement, check with subaru if your unsure i think that 5 has a different chemical compsoition and could rot the lines and seals if not compatable.
  12. You should feel the difference in grip now they work best below 10 deg c. Where as summer rubber doesnt. I'd check with your insurance company to see if you're still insured while using winter tyres. Stupidly some of them see it as a mod with it not being oem equment and therefore invalidating your cover as they havent been declared
  13. Rules me out then. :-D
  14. As your misses keeps telling you it's not all about the length ! :-)
  15. Apparently the digits relate to how many built ?
  16. So vonfused your posting in paint section haha. Where did you get ghat date from and whats it mean ?
  17. Been digging. The trim number on left hand side of the vin relates to the interior upholstrey. Still working out the other bit but i suspect it relates to add ons
  18. Neither of those links work for me as my vin is only 9 digits long (jdm spec vin ? ) Mine must translate as Manufacture.Subaru. Body type. forester Engine 5 ? 2.0L 5 speed ? Then the serial number of the car. If the trim levels and what bot are in the vin (uk) why have a trim & option code stamped elsewhere ?
  19. How's the trade going to work round p/x and resale of older cars. ?
  20. If you can find out wha the options code is i'll dof my cap to you sir ! Been hunting for ages there seems to be many conflicting vews i didn't even see the trim code until i look just now. I guess i depends on where you cars from.
  21. Mine runs out in june so will i be able to buy an old one for the full year or will i have to send it back in oct ? is anyone gonna reduce the cost of the car by x amount to factor in the buyers extra outlay. For those of you with cars in the expensive tax bracket it's gonna be a nightmare having to shell out for tax and insurance at the same time. Stupidly i had bought 12 months at the same time as my insurance (car was untaxed) but i know most of us like to stagger it so the painnis a little easier to bare
  22. Length of rad maybe ? Been looking at mine and my radiator is slightly recessed. Any pics would be great thanks :-)
  23. Anyone got one on a classic ? I'd like to know if it would fit on the foz, the pictures i've found look like it would go on only difference being the expansion bottle and coolant lines come out the end of my radiator instead of half way inbetween. A nice close up pic would be good
  24. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B002HMW28W/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1389680862&sr=8-2π=AC_SX110_SY165 Need to stand the can in hot water to sofyen it all up. I did this then insert the sprayer pick up which got cloged up with the stuff from bottom of can. Bareing in mind i'd pressurised it by this time so even after i let it all out it still started to **** everywhere. Cleaning the nozzle is a pain in the !Removed! too. I got annoyed and cut my losses threw the whole lot in the bin.
