The drain bolt is for the box and front diff, Odd that's there's no dipstick should be where the others have been on previous models, is the dipstick tube there but missing the stick ?

Forester dilemma
Not sure about the tank size as mine's a sf5 so it shares a 45l tank with the same year impreza, Major service is every 3 or 4 years depending on model an interim service is about a ton but is easy enough to do yourself, plugs are a pain but again only once every 3/4 years Like most jap cars you can pretty much dismantle it with 4 sockets and a screwdriver [emoji3] Once you get your head round the layout of the engine they are easy really.

New Subaru Forester Owner! I have some questions -)
Mine comes in early now around 2 and is hitting max boost at 3.5k which is nice makes a more drivable car in my opinion, I've an ej20g motor although I think when the built the 1st foz's they just used what ever parts were lying around !

Forester dilemma
Hello & welcome, Not sure of any foz owners that way on her but you could try uk foz too, Runing costs aren't too bad if you find a local specialists, With a six mile commute you'll only really get mpg in the low 20's on longer runs expect high 20's early 30's Only other things really is servicing, an independent will be roughly half the cost of subaru, Typical costing breakdowns are dependant on your garage but rough prices are Clutch 300-400 Major service 350-500 Cambelt 350-450 The rest of the parts are relatively cheap and widely available, and if you like working on your own car then they are fairly easy to do.

New bumper or repair? Pics included.
Depends on how much a new bumper is + cost of paint, could be cheaper to get it repaired ?

New Subaru Forester Owner! I have some questions -)
By all accounts on 100 Ron fuel they were ment to be 240ps which is about 237bhp, but the mapper told me it was prob just a myth as he doubted it had ever made that, had clutch done last week and found the sigpot bearing was seized, so that could have contributed to the lower numbers too, people say it's faster than that but I wouldn't really know real world pace is good which is all I wanted really as there's no point all the boost coming it ln at 5k by which time your well over a ton. As for the pump I've not noticed any increase in noise the stock one was approaching 20 years old so was good to change it anyway, but it has the ability to flow at a higher rate which is essential when upping the boost to decrease the risk of leaning off, I went with the rcm as walbro 's had some issues last year http://rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk/store/product/24-rcm-uprated-fuel-pump-1992-2008

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Looking good mate, So my 'sf5' zeros ports undertray arrived today, as I expected it's not looks like a classic one, so there's a 2" gap all the way round to the i/c and it's about 3" too long so do I go to the hassle of modifying a skirt to fit,of just sell it on ?? Gappage

quick speaker advise
Did you change them for like for like or did you just put Co ax ones in the doors ? I changed to some cheap 3 way ones in the lower half of the door and left the tweeters, Ment I lost a load of mid and low range, ended up going for a pioneer underseat sub, rounded off the system nicely, I listen to mainly hip hop, drum&bass/jungle so without it you can really notice a difference, Not too loud as to rattle the windows but just enough to let your passenger know there's one there [emoji3] Bit of a squeeze but it goes even better if you cut the carpet out from underneath and mount directly to floor

Just the way it looked like a uk sized rear plate, unless your photo shop skills have done it an injustice, Meets start up again next month so if I don't catch you before then I'll hopefully have a poke around it
