david1972 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Took the dog to the coast, then gave the foz a good wash....my god, the council have dumped tonnes of salt on the roads overnight. You'd think it was going out of date or something lol Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
savage bulldogs Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Stared at the scooby through the back gate most of the weekend :-( as the mrs has got me fitting a new fence :'( Did tell her I needed some "sky hooks" from b&q and had to pop out in the scoob to collect em :-D Mpg was about 12 smiles per gallon :-) 2
Gaulson Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Lovely weather today so went out on a drive then gave her a clean finished off with a drive round the block to dry her off :)
david1972 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 As per Stanton earlier this week....abused the Halfords 3 for 2 and stocked up on meguairs products....went for the waffle weather magnet towel (wanted a new one since last year), some alloy wheel spray cleaner and glass cleaner (a new product to try as my autoglym glass polish running out) :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk tried the megs glass cleaner spray today after the dog licked the windows to death :D .......have to say first impressions are that it's a really good product
Gambit Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Sadly not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Boooo
Scooby Pete Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Swiped the side of the car pulling out the driveway. Nice scrape and crushing of the rear pass door and wheel arch, scraped a spoke on the wheel aswell. Really !Removed! off with myself. Only bright spot it's going to the body shop tomorrow anyway. Just not feeling the extra £300-400 it's going to cost :(

Gaulson Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Ouch :(. I did that in one of my earlier cars, not pleasant

BoozyDave Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 It's a horrible noise and feeling, I did it once In my first car, it's gutting
Dogconker Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I used to have a LWB Landrover and I had z brake failure I rolled into the Audi in front and tapped it, I thought that was lucky. When he pulled forward the boot lid was half way up the rear windscreen and the boot looked like an exploded cartoon shotgun. Not good, not done what you did fortunately but sympathise. Scooby Pete Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Dropped the car off and it will need both Doors on pass side resprayed £150 each, rear wheel arch £150 + £250 for the bonnet, have said to leave bonnet blow over for now. Body shop said they will just touch up the stone chips for now. So hopefully will be a bit nearer £450 rather than £700. Gotta laugh he's mentioned a few times that I am quite fussy when having work done to my cars, not sure if this is his way of saying I'm a pain in the ****?
Dogconker Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 That might be what he means bit at least you keep coming back which means he's got work do he's not going to moan too much Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
Pommy Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Definitely means you are a pain, but as above they won't complain too much as they make some decent money off it.
savage bulldogs Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Today I be mostly fighting with the front mount intercooler :-) 1
Gaulson Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Just played the "will I make it to the fuel station" game... Living in a village the closet fuel station is 10 miles away, a long way with fuel light on
Dogconker Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Ha Ha that's funny, I drove from Manchester to Stafford 60miles with the fuel light on and then didn't bother filling up until the next day, the joys of diesel and 60mpg
Gaulson Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 It will be a shock when I move onto an economical car lol
Pommy Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Got my Battery booster and jumped the car back into glorious life. Checked over turbo timer and attempted to reset alarm code with no luck:(
Scooby Pete Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Picked it up from the body shop, then had to go and spend £70 replacing the stone protector stickers on the rear lower door and the wheel arch. Dealer prices are a rip off.
Gambit Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Battred an Audi a4 that thought it was going to be fun racing me. Yes thank you I do feel smug -_- 3
Gaulson Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I had something similar on the way home from work with an S line Audi A3, tried to take me on a straight so I left him behind. Don't know why they bother lol 3
Dogconker Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Really, I reckon even I could give an Audi A4 a run unless it was one of the sports ones or a turbo and I drive a diesel 1
