  2. hmmmm, that souds like an imobilizer antenna fault i'v had heard of on the Kia Sorento forum as i had a Sorento at some point in my life, now this is only guessing on my side, david is spot on as that's how the cat1 alarm works, it took me also a couple times and then reading the alarm booklet. anyway, do you have any other keys on your keyring?
  3. looks like a warranty issue to me so keep going back to the dealer till sorted as some times there are firmware opdates for these systems. call Subaru to check if there are any open recalls on for your Forester. i have seen these kind of issues with Kia and they had firmware updates after many customers complained
  4. i got the AutoLink AL319 what is working with my06 Forester or a iPad/iPhone WiFi dongle and DashCmd even made a YouTube video but my YouTube channel is now dead as Google = and i refuse to be forced in all kind of accounts like Google+ etc can it be that your OBDII connector has problems?

  8. cleaned the sand off my06 at Sainsbury's
  9. yep, yep, it's called a brick
  10. injectors are prome to making noise. my previous 2002 2.5 d4d toyota hilux was makling lots of noise when cold, like a bag of spanners. i have driven diesels since 1980. what i did with my diesels was adding about 300ml 2 stroke oil (used for 2 stroke engines) on a full tank. this really helps the noise but more it keeps your diesel in good health :)
  11. what about fuel filter / fuel lines / fuel connections? may be a small leak? engine sucking air in the fuel line? vacuum lines leaking? have a look what Eric tells about this; just me thinking out loud (not sure why i can't post a youtube video...)
  12. will do the same soon but still unsure to buy the doule din pod and fit my avic-ft700 in there as i need space for my kenwood 2m/70cm rig too ;) (if all done sure will post some pics)
  13. can't you not try to source a MPH dail at a breakers yard to replace the KM dail? or is my thought to simple
  14. i have some kind of switch but not at the location, it's from the alarm system
  15. yep, yep, tell me about it!

  18. i have one tool box from them and used it for some years now and i must say not bad at all for the money. used it on my Hilux, Rav4, Sorento and Forester. all thou for the real tight nuts (Hilux) i have some better quality breakers bars / impact sockets.
  19. in the 80s we had Altec Lansing The Voice of the Highway ; never had anything like that these days...
  20. nice to see another Forester :D
  21. back in Austrralia my 2003 Forester XS auto had a folding out cup holding next the radio , i used it for my 2m/70cm handy talkie as being a licensed radio amateur now here in the UK the cup holder is gone in my 2006 XC auto! please Subaru why did you remove it now i have no place for my handy talkie grrrrrrr but you did give me bigger mirrors as the small ones on the XS were just a joke B)
