  1. @stants has an underseat one... he will be able to give you his opinion on it! Think he rates it highly...
  2. Are you happy to lose a bit of boot space or would rather go with an under seat one? I got a 2nd hand Vibe 12" bad boy off ebay for 30 quid... wiring kit was almost as expensive! Sounds great tho... and I listen to rock/heavy metal
  3. Insurance companies will look for ANY reason to bump up your premium....
  4. @Piggysniffer had loads of issues with his car after he mapped it, then he was near enough impossible to get hold of... i would avoid him as well from other peoples experience!
  5. Adding my wife as a named driver on my car knocks my premium down by about 80 quid! Maybe more woman crash in your area??
  6. A rolling road that doesn't give print outs?? That seems a bit odd...
  7. Mate, it's dead easy to do! I'm just over the water from Edinburgh so if you need a hand, give me a shout!
  8. Yeh I just replace because they are cheap... you're never gonna remove 100% of the dirt so I don't see the bother in trying!
  9. Welcome to the club! Lovely looking classic :D
  10. Yeh, I always find it amazing when you see the big turbo drag cars where the turbo is completely exposed with no air filter! I know the chances of hoovering up crap is unlikely on a drag strip but still....
  11. Sound a decent bit better than stock... but sound a bit flat without a sub
  12. No problem mate! Running a Kenwood double din unit so no amp... no issues with the windows either Yeh just had to drill 3 holes a little closer in from the original holes in the brackets for everything to line up. Just used the old speaker holes as a template
  13. I bought a set of Edge speakers which came with brackets and wire adapters... pretty decent but need a sub since they are 3 way so bass isn't their strong point. The bracket holes don't line up properly but nothing a drill can't sort... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-1993-2007-EDGE-13cm-300-Watts-4-Way-Front-Door-Car-Speakers-Kit-/262572428661?hash=item3d22894d75:g:GjMAAOSwV0RXq5nN
  14. Possibly, but my airbox had a leaf or two but that was it! I'm running a cosworth filter at the mo as well, been in there for a few months now, will need to take a look at it!
  15. A very loud exhaust system?? :D
  16. I'm running the standard airbox minus the airbox resonator... I had a pipercross filter in for the best part of two years, and with the way it looked, it could have probably done another two years!! Do you still have the engine undertray on?
  17. I get the same thing in my 2004 WRX, it's probably the brake pads... the clips only push them in one direction (Up towards the top of the caliper), so when you brake going in the other direction, they move slightly and hit the caliper... it's completely harmless. If the clips on the caliper were the other way around, the knocking would happen whenever you brake going forward, this happened to me and was MUCH more annoying!
  18. Don't see why @Piggysniffer should get all the encouragement :D
  19. I do love those Foz STI's... very nice! Especially in black with the dark wheels.. ultimate stealth
  20. Do you mean fully synthetic at the end?
  21. Hey mate, I take my Subaru to HQ Garage in Dalgety Bay (Fife). Really good bunch of guys, don't mess you about... Not sure if they do welding but they certainly seem to do everything else May be worth giving them a call - http://hqgarage.co.uk/contact-us/
  22. I would recommend doing it, you will be maxing out the fuel pump. They are very straight forward to swap out, took me around an hour to do. Who's mapping it?
  23. Yeh that's realistic... have you upgraded the fuel pump as well?
  24. Then after that, charge you more than necessary for the oil......
