  1. Depending on the turbo and injector capacity... around 300 would be my guess, maybe a little more
  2. Wow... you really have had no luck with your current engine! Very fortunate you bought the new lump :D
  3. A quality up pipe it is as well! Just need to keep remidning myself everytime time it's cold it blows a little, always takes me a second to remember!
  4. I question the accuracy but I imagine it's not too far off... FYI My phone was sitting on the passenger seat for this reading
  5. Ok, I'll give mine a little blast when I go to work shortly :D
  6. I'm running a sports cat and an afterburner vortex... mine should be quiter, will be interesting to see by how much. Was that reading at normal revs or full chat?
  7. My car is quite loud so I'll download it and take a screenshot... if mine is considerably lower then yeh I would say that's a touch loud!!
  8. Pretty cool video...
  9. If it's a good quality 200CEL one you should be fine... try and get one that has the tongue to separate exhaust and wastegate flow... this is the one I fitted a few months ago
  10. If you need to install the Y-pipe on the back of the new intercooler, there are two gaskets for that as well... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Intercooler-Y-Pipe-Gaskets-Fits-Impreza-Turbo-2-0-STi-V7-V8-UK-JDM-/271417378606?fits=Car+Make%3ASubaru&hash=item3f31bc872e:g:AQUAAOxygPtSysbA and then as Stants says, bov gasket: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Dump-Valve-Gasket-21896AA072-Fits-Subaru-Impreza-STi-00-07-/281631490531?hash=item41928b81e3:g:rzMAAMXQVT9Syrnn
  11. Well, my custom built laptop is a couple of years old now and out of warranty so I thought it's about time I opened it up and cleaned out the fans and heatsinks n what not. The CPU does generally run hot but it is a quad core in a laptop so that's not exactly uncommon... took it all apart to clean out the old thermal paste to be greeted with the below! Apparently put together by professionals who take great care and pride in their work. My CPU temps have now dropped more than 20 degrees... wish I did this a lot sooner...
  12. Nah... about an hours work... need to remove the back seats, remove the panel to access the top of the fuel tank, pull off the hoses, unbolt it and lift the whole unit out. Once the whole unit is out it's just a straight swap as the plug is the same. Then do the reverse and you're done!
  13. This should be interesting... :D
  14. I think they ditched the cat in the up-pipe all together after the Blob...
  15. It has this at the bottom of the blurb? "I have all the photos documenting the entire rebuild including every stage of the engine build along with all the receipts for everything purchased for this car in folders along with x2 keys and fobs. Loads of paperwork!! "
  16. New record!!
  17. I use HEL brake lines... seem very good, have no complaints and did make a difference
  18. According to the GFB blurb: " Tests show that TMS features can return the engine to peak boost up to 30% faster than a factory diverter valve when shifting gears." I would have thought 30% would have been noticeable but I certainly didn't feel any difference....
  19. People claim an atmospheric one allows the turbo to come back on boost quicker n such but there doesn't seem to be any proof or noticeable difference. I just like the noise :D
  20. Doing well with my current tank... will have to fill up on my way home
  21. Some cars like them... other cars don't, seem to be hit or miss whether the car doesn't care if you dump a whole load of air instead of recirculating it. I went for a variable one so I could choose how much dumps and how much recirculates to prevent lumpy gear changes... it's now 100% atmo since I had my remap. I've got this one: (It will fit the standard WRX intercooler) http://www.scoobyparts.com/performance/gfb-tuning-products/gfb-respons-tms-bov
  22. Thicker anti roll bars would be a good place to start...
