  1. A good set of discs, pads and braided brake lines transform the brakes. That's what I did with my impreza and it significantly improved the performance of my 4 pots... Also, welcome to the club!
  2. Yup, only issue with them is my brembo pads have a little room to move on the pins... so they clunk when braking (only in reverse tho) Feel just as good as the standard calipers
  3. It will take the full tank for the redex to work/remove any crap... you usually get two lots from one bottle of redex so may be worth doing it on two tanks back to back. The turbo model of your car has AVCS... not sure if the non-turbo does
  4. Tell the new owner to get on here so we can keep track of its' progress!!
  5. I've never actually tried spam... It's being advertised over in America now, it's brand new to them! XD
  6. After 6k miles my oil level is usually still at the full line...
  7. I went to my local shows... had some candy floss, went on a ferris wheel.... Does that count?
  8. Yeh some redex through the tank won't do it any harm. If your fuel filter isn't at the top passenger side of the engine bay, it must be in the tank...
  9. Just got a quote for a new one on a comparison website... unmoddified car, i got a quote for £318
  10. I would stick with using high octane fuel all the time... it's only a few quid more a tank and saves any headaches with potential knocking. Might be a good idea to change fuel filter and coolant if that hasn't been done in a while, also maybe gearbox and diff oil too... pretty much a major service but not difficult to do yourself!
  11. I'm also 29, 6 years NCB and all mods declared, £378 this year. It's a post code lottery really...
  12. Could be something else going on then if it's only the idle emissions. How is your air filter looking?
  13. My guess is either the cat is not working anymore or your lambda sensor isn't working. I take it you have no engine warning lights?
  14. Welcome to the club! Is the exhaust modified? Still have all the cats in place?
  15. Yeh that was pretty dumb...
  16. @smudger-38 ???
  17. Welcome to the club! Might be a good idea to do some maintenance on it as well, chuck in some redex fuel additive to help break down any crap in your fuel lines. Might want to change your fuel filter as well if you don't know if/when it was last changed. I agree with Scoobyghost... check your boost pipes are still all tight, make sure the recirc valve is not leaking boost either (assuming it's standard)
  18. Yeh I know mate, just joking... :D
  19. That all sounds about right.....
  20. They look dam shiny!!
  21. driver side you need to remove the airbox to be able to access them, passenger side you need to take out the washer bottle and battery out. Coil packs are a bolt each to take out which then gives you access to the plugs!
