  1. Bugeye gx stants 😁😁😁 You could spend the 40 on a part and it not be right so that would be more cash wasted than paying for a diagnostic and the correct part.

Have you check importcarparts.co.uk ? They sell Subaru parts without the branding and price tag.
  3. Perfectly good reaction to situations like this. Sometimes it feels like you're hitting a brick wall but there's always an option. Looks like he's willing to help you and have a look. Just need to get a date booked up and he'll sort it. We've all been in this situation where it feels noatter what you try you never seem to get anywhere. Walk away have a brew and come back. Or in this case give it to Duncan and walk away.
  4. Find the leak or fresh oil, stick your finger in it and give that a sniff. Determine if it's engine or gearbox oil. Where is the leak?
  5. You can do a code check using the two black connectors under the dash. Once you have your error code you'll know what the problem is.
  6. Good news. What's the verdict?
  7. Phwoar!!! Bought time you got it dirty. How many did you have to pull out?
  8. If it was functioning right as you drove to the map it could have been fine during the map. Only one that can answer that unfortunately is Duncan. Stick with it. He's a good bloke from first hand experience.
  9. You're not far away from it then 😊👍
  10. Not sure what model you have but there is a lot more required than a big turbo and map. You could need injectors, possibly an aftermarket ecu to cope with that sort of power. Fuel pump would be a must.
  11. Depends on age, condition, quality of life but general rule suggests 350hp. Every bit of extra power you ask for will take away some durability and reliability.
  12. I know of a few local members have ran in to issues with uppipe, it seems some classics have detachable uppipe and some are flexi jointed but complete part of the manifold.
  13. A problem shared is a problem halved. Best voice opinions otherwise the world is a boring place. As for Duncan I'm pretty sure he'll do what he can to help regarding the map or any new faults that have popped up because you've asked the car to give more power and change fueling. Did you change the fueo pump at all? Just looking at anything else that could give Issue along with the map.
  14. I heard the same, it's meant to make it go really really fast but like not ruin your mpg. Not sure if they map them in or something.
  15. He mapped me, I had a little overboost issue. He came to my house and sorted it within two weeks. Thoroughly enjoyed the service I got. I think a lot of mapping comes down to health of the car in general. Didn't you have a vvt issue before/during the mapping time? He is renowned for being tough to get hold of but I'm sure it's not with malicious intent.
  16. I suppose it's hiding that rusty arch at the minute though.
  17. There may be some grit wedged up in the cable. Get some wd40 and spray the cable while giving it a wiggle.
  18. That's your check engine light(CEL). The ecu has logged an error code and it's a constant error. Most common will be the lambda sensor but you will need to get a diagnostic reading. Once you have your error code you can find out what it means and then replace the part. Depending on what fault you have determines if you'll be taking a risk. The lambda will mess up fueling so you may notice a drop in mpg. Other errors like Cam sensors will end up leaving you with a car that won't start(it isn't that).
  19. I don't even have a blitz nur and my cars hardly loud...still got a letter of noise complaint from the council a while back 😆😂
  20. Do you have a picture of the light?
  21. Japshow at Santa pod is October 1st and 2nd. Usually a fair few stands there selling Japanese parts and Subaru specific parts.
  22. Welcome to the club. Tuning paths are endless really. All depends on budget and a target if you have one.
  23. http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=6354&cat=96&sub=97&sec=143&var=51&dc=0&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart= These should do the job.
  24. Can the strut be moved from the hub? Sounds more like its rusted itself together. You should get some movement if both bolts are out.
