Monster - and here is me building back up to 100Kg after a torn knee ligament
  5. Finally got around to a full clean and polish, been aiming to do it for a few weeks now. Just finished the wax layer and wiping away drips from tyre dressing when SWMBO arrives with kids grabs keys and drives off Tried Meguires compound for first time today - its good but it does take more work to remove the road smears / grease spots than a clay bar - would be ideal if I hadn't left it so long between cleans I imagine.
  6. Not big on x4 door drop tops - 2 door yes but not 4 door.
  7. I have replaced my belt with a kevlar item - not had any change in noise from engine bay. A bit smelly for first few miles as it beds in but that was it

  18. Wotcha and welcome - stacks of info on this forum so feel free to get stuck in post photos etc
  19. look at the exhaust itself as you wont soundproof windows for example, also it is a lot easier to fit and if you think it is noisy in the car your neighbours will probably have a similar opinion. A decent quality item will not impact the performance massively - if at all.
  20. Wotcha and welcome - keep us posted on progress

  22. Wotcha and welcome. Not owned or driven an ST so cannot help there but with the 2.5 lump there have been failures due to piston ringland cracking on standard pistons, more so I believe on the later hatchs and saloons - not sure about the hawkeye saloon? look for service history and aftermarket remap - a rebuild with forged pistons completed will mean no failure. I owned an 08 Hatch with PPP pack and thought it was cracking - given the opportunity I would put in a quicker steering rack, stiffer ARB on rear and a suspension kit that would lower the front end by 20mm (Litchfield kit) This would sharpen and firm things up for an even better driving experience without being overkill

  24. Wotcha and welcome - Love a hatch me - there are some nice examples out there. There are issues with ringland failure on the 2.5 lump, Jap imports have a 2.0 and dont suffer the same so look for, at the very least an aftermarket remap, has been done along with service history. Subaru do a patch themselves and I had Subaru confirm the same modified parameters were included in the PPP pack I had on mine however some 330s and PPP pack owners have suffered so put by some money for a quality RR and ECU map if it has not been done
