  5. Sounds like another great meet - nice one Ash
  6. not keen on piston slap myself - always gets me twitching even though I know it will be fine
  7. Titanium would be my vote break the black with a contrast
  8. nice to hear people actually win :)
  9. Do you have any blue smoke coming out of the exhaust? If the oil is getting past your rings or there is an issue with the turbo you will get blue smoke how many miles has the car done? as long as the turbines are supported you will get pressure on spool up. 3 litres in 1500 miles is a lot, if it is coming past the rings your plugs could be fouled - what colour are they? Is the coolant fluid clear, no milkiness? Might be worth doing a sniff test just to make sure in order to check head gasket??
  10. That looks great - all the slight changes make a really good package
  11. oooohhh liking the sound of that lot :P

all good known brands - if it was me I tend to stick with what I know works although I was looking at Syvecs options at one point - pricey but the amount of control you get to protect your engine is good
  13. That is a great result, good to hear they will at least look to rectify the issue, gives you time to look about and decide who you would like to complete the higher spec rebuild
  14. I don't think you will have an issue with that motor, should be a nice result when done - agree with Gambit I can see your mum pushing to exchange the sport for your turbo project once that is completed :D
  15. great stuff, something else to look forward to
  16. yup that was the one properly over the top but still a shame to see it trashed
  17. I remember that Carlton - it was a huge amount of work they did on it just for it to be slammed, shame. I agree I think it would sit nicely in a classic - unfortunately one isn't coming along for me anytime soon otherwise I would keep it for my 22b replica :)
  18. That's turned out spot on
  19. Those are great neighbours indeed
  20. The 4 pin box will be the relay, the Hellas will draw more current so if there is no relay in the circuit already you use the relay to have a dedicated supply from the battery but triggered using the existing loom from the switch in the car. That way it doesnt overload the existing wiring. Gambit has installed them so he will be able to describe his own approach
  21. I think it would be a good place to start given your budget
  22. They do look good - any plans for other Subaru models?
  23. Four spoke Italian leather steering wheel - will fit onto momo steering boss, some age related marks in leather, no tears or repairs cost over £200 back in the day looking for £80 postage will be dependant on destination etc plus I haven't weighed it yet ;)
  24. mate that is a hell of a link but damn.... where is the rest of the car in the photo you posted that just looks the ****** and I can only see a fraction of the front quarter!!!
