  18. if you feel like it take some pics and post them in project thread - always useful seeing what goes into a job like that ;)
  19. It could and if you decide to do it keep us posted with a project thread - however it would be more for your own benefit to experience the work involved as it is extensive and will take the same or more money than getting a turbo model in the first place. The short answer is it would be better to go turbo from the start not convert an S model.
  20. covered well by all above - keep us posted
  21. What a great thread - looks like you have a real nice motor there and clearly you have been well and truly bitten - not such a bad thing and kudos to getting it through the SWMBO quality gate ;)
  22. Wotcha and welcome - those mods do make a clear difference I take it handling has improved ;)
  23. Wotcha and welcome - here is a buyers guide what to look out for. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1619-help-check-guide-buying-1st-subaru/ some basic differences wrx sti tends to be the older models wrx quick turbo car dependant on year 5 speed gearbox sti similar to wrx model but can come with six speed box, more power as standard, more powerful brakes, wider track and alloy components instead of steel used in wheel mounting gear there will be other stuff as well but that gives you a brief high level
