  5. when I click on the last set of links they all show a picture of a heater unit??
  6. Wotcha and welcome - If you go for a car that is all running but needs attention - which should be possible with the budget Gambit suggested, you will be able to conduct a full refurbishment of everything and learn as you go and also get a taste of teh good stuff before you start taking things apart. If you get a car with major issues to start with you can end up chasing your tail for ages. We have threads on here about full engine rebuilds (Savage + Tlag) and also some on the drive improvements (Bazza + Rollomite) there are many other examples of members doing great stuff to their cars in the project section. I dont think any of the Subaru technology incl turbos are out of your capability. They are as cheap or expensive as you want to make them but modding is addictive so beware ;)
  7. and to get it done try MD developments - member on here based in Gloucester, you may get a more competitive rate than going to the likes of Extreme
  8. great thread - yes keep us posted ;)
  9. it depends how much damage you are happy doing before you start you project - it cost me £35 to hire a car trailer for the day to get a bust car back home, cheaper than potentially trashing the whole engine
  10. as its just stripping the paint off and they are not large complex shapes it should be a relatively low cost job - which Georgia are you in and ill do some digging?
  11. Have you uprated the fuel pump, make sure it can supply those beefed up injectors?
  12. Wotcha and welcome - yup the handling and power delivery is a little more spirited - less earnest than your humble fiesta :)
  13. like it - looking good - and functional as well :)
  14. Wotcha and welcome - check out Wagonwheels thread for some ideas he has achieved some nice figures ;) http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1842-newbie-saying-hello-and-pics/
  15. having it shot with all dents etc shows a good starting point for changes in the future ;)
  16. would an STI 6 speed box fit - strong, nice close ratio's :)
  17. Wotcha and welcome - I would have them blasted with something like walnut shells or baking soda
