iirc the two different codes, eg 334461L 324033L are for two diffrent spec shocks, excel g and a another

2.5 is known for doing ringlands and headgasket. when the hg goes it can damge the crank bearings, maybe previous owner had the HG done, didnt do the bearings and now the bearings have gone. need ot get it to a specialist to get it checked out, but does sound terminal. rebuild cost will depend on how bad the damage is inside and what needs to be replace, 4k is a round figure guess.

tbh if your worried about mpg then move along, no subaru gets great mpg even the none turbos, if anythign the turbo's are better

decat will throw up a CEL on yours anyway, the code could well be a blocked cat. Best bet maybe full decat, y pipe,m fuel pump, panel filter then a map.

on a none turbo 95 is totaly fine

Vpower/momentum 99 ron Bp ultimate not sure if its 97 or 98? normal super 97 1 ron is enough to make a difference
