2011 WRX STI Build
not doing the normal wr blue for them seemed a tad daft to me as it's pretty much subaru full stop lol
- 3 year warranty only now?!

2011 WRX STI Build
it's similar the the wr blue, but its a more vivid colour. It was never available on road cars and its based of a kawasaki blue as i understand it. Hopefully this lik will work,

2011 WRX STI Build
i wonder what one would look like in the proper old school WRC (not wr blue that the new age sti's were).

Buying advise
bare in mind your talking about a car thats 10-20 years old now so will have ware and tare on it. 140k miles is pretty high for the engine's in them (not that more isnt possible). Prices are going up and there are alot of sheds around. What sort of budget are you looking at?

remapping
your gonna get alot of differing opinons, but i would stay well clear of a guy called duncan graham, aka racedynamix, hes a proper cowboy.

wanted 2.5 sti spec d
you never want to do a headgasket on a 2.5 without doing the bottom end 😞
-
high power subaru
depends what you looking to push too and what your existing spec is? Also bear in mind you will be spending more on supporting mods than the turbo to make sure its reliable

Audi s3 swap for a Subaru Impreza wrx or sti
prob wanna get some more details up, waht you think the value of yoru car is, some pics etc etc
-
wanted 2.5 sti spec d
are they doing the bottom end as well? Headgasket failure on a 2.5 is def bottom end rebuild job as well.
-
Engine build
the uk 2.0 are pretty strong engines, so you should be able to run 400 without too much issue, bear in mind you'll need the right supporting mods to do it.

Hmm that's not so good, as above sniff test and go from there.

Impreza GR Hatchback 2.5 WRX 2008 White Smoke
White smoke on cold start is perfectly normal. Is it smoking when it's warmed up?

Subaru S-Turbo Greddy Profec Bspec II Issue
if you are pushing it that hard your going to have to remove the stock safety features becuase the levels are above the visible limits, which you dont want to be doing. iirc the absolute visible limit of even the later ecu's is just under 1.7bar. You want to be below that level with tollerance so you don't overshoot, so in reality your limited to 1.6bar give or take. Bear in mind this is more a general comment regarding swapping to after market when you go up the power level. The boost control in the stock ecu is fine at lower levels of boost even on the early cars, although i agree they are showing their age, but at that point your then back to a case of looking at replacing the whole unit as boost control isn't the only issue. Makes external boost controllers a waste of money and setup time.

Cheapest insurer for young driver
tbh £2500 is around where i would guess given your age. Most specialists wont go near you till your 25, Try the price comparison websites. Young + performance car = bend over and take it dry when it comes to insurance.

HSD Coilovers Question
im on tein flex z so lowered, im not exactly sure what the height is set to tbh. Also need to take into account what the coilovers are as softer setups need more height or they bottom out. Afriad suspension setups isn't a subject im that up on.
- Rear wheel bearings word of warning

What have you done to your Subaru today ?

Subaru S-Turbo Greddy Profec Bspec II Issue
no external boost control is needed on a subaru. By the time to stock ecu struggles to cope you need to go stand alone ecu anyway. If you need some extra way of controlling the boost then something is wrong or your at stand alone ecu time. Unlike old fords and stuff you can't just change the boost levels, fueling needs to be adjusted to suit so you don't fry the engine. Hence why additional boost control is a waste of money.
