What have you done to your Subaru today ?
No worries bud, these things happen, like you, I live In a worse area than the folks but at least the car is still standing and in one piece, congrats on the house, party time and being able to walk round without a care in the world.

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
I'm not going though the insurance excess would be more than what I can get it done for at a local body shop plus ins company would have it for ages, my folks live on edge of leeds inbetween bradford, quiet area full of old folks, so it's probably some tail from over that way as, it's always kept on drive when i go there except last night as the neighbours had a friends round so was choc a block (shared drive) my reckoning is they wanted the car and not the contents or they'd have put window through, and made off. Right Christmas so far, two alarm call outs at work, Christmas eve & day, the car getting done roll on the new year

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
I'm impressed I managed to avoid the swear filter [emoji38] Gonna need 'de locking ' shaving painting etc, Geoff, it's an after market cat 1 so deadlocked all still works and locks fine, removed the barrel and coverd up with duck tape [emoji25] Maybe they just wanted to sit in it and make broom broom noises ?

New Subaru Forester Owner! I have some questions -)
I'm not entirely sure ours have them as when I enquired to go maf less I was told i'd need one to be billed and tapped into the manifold, think it's the later cars that have them as standard, to control the fuel trim, the maf does all the work from what I can gather, Instead of replacing everything with seemingly no end to trying to find out what's wrong, maybe get it on the dyno for a power/fueling run the operator may be able to pin point it easier than changing more parts, for the sake of 60 or so quid might be the better option? As for the remap the only option for our cars is an esl board, it wasn't cheap but it runs better and it pretty much paid for its self in fuel saving in about 6-9 months

New Subaru Forester Owner! I have some questions -)
To be honest with you I don't really keep tabs any more, Per map was about 20-22 urban, and 28-30 long runs Now a days it's up around 26-28 mpg urban and longer runs I can see up to 34mpg, I'm waiting for the ecu to relearn the fueling as I got a new maf before Christmas and have put about a tank through it so far, On Monday I'll reset trip and stick my usual 30 quid in see how far it gets me till next fill up, I never really let the needle drop below the 1/4 line

Or your rear wash wiper feed tube may have split ? Mine used to get wet in the centre of the boot couldn't work out where it was coming from until I sat in there and someone operated the washer

Correct way to Install gauges
Should be fairly straight forward, i'd say if we meet up have a look and do a mock up of where everything will go then if we have anything missing/needed we won't have half the car in bits before finding out

Can you take a pic of the back of the gauge ? Gonna have to do a bit of a read up, as yours look like the type that don't require much electrical work, which is nice

First Time Subaru Owner - 01 Forester STi
Not sure tbh, i reckon it would be, looks like it's sat on bigger rims and the kit deceives the eyes, the rest of the sti's sit lower do I can't see why this would be different. Mines sitting about 30mm lower than stock anyway, unless we can get a side by side picture can't say for sure

New Subaru Forester Owner! I have some questions -)
If your not going for a map then an oem one from a reputable source would be fine, The problems with ours is they are mapped for 100 Ron fuel so it could be a case of it just hesitating due to chucking too much fuel in, before I had mine done it ran very rich to the point where I may as well have just poured fuel down the drain, I'm nit really clued up with the auto box set up, I'll have a poke around, sorry didn't get chance to ring subaru for a pcv price
