Scooby Pete Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Ordered a cosworth Pannel Filter from Scoobyworld. 2
antlockyer Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Fitted a new forester door logo on the passenger door which had a bit of a respray to fix a parking dent.
Gaulson Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Fitting a new Stereo last night, it's rubbish so sending it back... shame really :( Sounded promising... - Touchscreen - Full 1080p HD - Sat Nav - Bluetooth - SD and USB support So when I had installed it and found that it saves radio stations but not other settings I wasn't happy. Also sound keeps dimming when losing a bit of signal AND it doesn't support anything to do with IPOD!
Gambit Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I did think about taking my TMIC off to have a look about relocating my oil pressure sender. After removing the alternator twice and having a bad time off the last one snapping off in the bolt I'm not doing it again :D So job for the week or weekend maybe.
stants Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 To on top of the no3 cylinder ?. It's a ball ache !
Gambit Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I can't get the sender on under the alternator not without extending away it's too big :( so thought I might as well have a look see where it is before I buy the parts :)
stants Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 Thats where i lost all me tools trying to get the adapter and sender screwed into no3 :'( fiddly but annoying.
Gambit Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Oh great :( problem I have is I like thing's to be out of the way and hidden when possible :D I might look at the flexie take the alternator off again. I will have a butchers at it though 1st
stants Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 From top view you can't even see it on mine :-)
Gambit Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 yeah thats what I'm after out of sight out of mind until it goes wrong then it's lot's of swearing and talking to myself saying I should have gone with the flexi ;)
Scooby Pete Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Found that someone has left me a £100 present whilst it was parked in Tescos.

Gambit Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Oh I hate that had that done once when I had taken the Missus or was it mistress out for a meal :( I did manage to push it back out with my fingers so worth a try Pete :( And only thing I did was put an air freshener in :D
tom_gr7 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Gutted pete. I'd be fuming... I'd guess its probably been done by a supermarket trolley or something.
Scooby Pete Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 So today the Cossie panel filter arrived, took the old one out thinking it was going to be a yellow and orange floppy on turns out it had a genuine Denso Subaru panel filter already fitted. Much prefer the Cossie one though. Can tell my mate whose got an Escort RS turbo my car has more Cossie bits than his Also just bought some Genuine Mcgard Sti splined nuts. 2
mfnick Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Just ordered some blue wheel nuts - http://www.scoobyparts.com/acatalog/LIGHTWEIGHT_ALLOY_TUNER_NUT_SET.html Will be ordering a set of new tyres tomorrow. Got some new wheel cleaner and seal too. Finally reaching a position where I can get my new alloys on. I'll be giving them a damn good clean and polish over weekend and the hopefully get the tyres on and fitted the weekend after. Can't wait :D 1
antlockyer Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Washed it again, polished and waxed one side (the one in the shade).
Dogconker Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Try Maguire's can polish even in full sun, comes up a treat Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
antlockyer Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Using Maguiars polish. There is no way I'm waxing it in the sun shine though :)
Dogconker Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Might depend which one, if it's the liquid resin it dries clear and leaves no white residue, so you get none of the problems you can get with a hot surface. You'll just have to make sure everyone sees your good side then
