  1. yup two wheels will get the buzz going
  2. fingers crossed this is it sorted...
  3. Have experienced the same a few years back - !Removed! sneaky them things
  4. Wotcha and welcome - is your 6K a year mostly motorways or around town? Auto makes for a more relaxed drive - no gear changing etc What is you driving style? As if you intend to 'drive' the car go for a manual option.
  5. here is a wrx hatch mods thread - some of the parts may still be available also??
  6. Nothing came of it - shame really
  7. Wotcha and welcome - the hold button is useful in really slippery conditions - holds it in gear and stops changing up through wheel spin
  8. Good stuff that ACF50 - used it for a few years now
  9. As you have a high flow panel filter already in place look to a high flow exhaust system to match, then go for a map to tune to the parts. After that I would look at induction - but that is just my opinion, particularly as aftermarket kits for these are not readily available
  10. I think you are right there!!
  11. gets me - who is dropping the money on these - I had a budget in mind of 10K to get a decent two door classic potentially with some work already completed and then go to work Savage, Gobstopper 1 (and I dare say yourself Tidgy) stylee. But over 10K to get a platform is bonkers
  12. Some great mods there
  13. You should have a feed pipe directly to the airbox - is yours there?
  14. great to see some progress - I am slightly surprised you haven't been polybushing whilst the bits are apart
  15. not found one myself yet - will do some more digging - not sure how much you will gain as a high flow filter is good, even on the turbo models
  16. Gutted for you - effin scum!!
  17. There are less about (been watching for a while now) they do seem to be split between real sheds and very well kept examples with a sizeable price gap in between - literally thousands of pounds - P1's / Type R's now between 7K and 20K
  18. nice one - great way to share progress
  19. That sounds very different to mine - clearly there is room for aural improvement!
  20. There have been a few conversations on the forum relating to the Subaru diesel product and its not great. Bearing failures due to misaligned gearboxes during manufacturing plus other stuff related to throttle valves and dpf's IMO if I was in the market for a diesel motor I would be looking elsewhere. One of the forum members picked up a Mitsi Lancer diesel and that has a VAG engine. But that is just me
  21. The garage I use always contact me for things like this - quick phone call to say they have found something how to proceed plus an approx cost to fix - looks like they will have included a load of labour to remove sheared bolts, repair threads etc - which may well have been the right solution but as we say in consultancy - never surprise the customer
  22. Pity Subaru dont have it as a retro fix and issue a notification - but that costs money...
