  3. Wotcha and welcome - sorry to hear this - does sound like a rebuild / replace is necessary - how many miles on the clock + which transmission oil did you use?
  4. got every sympathy with you, did that a few weeks back when someone had parked opposite my drive and I screwed up the turn - refurbed all wheels now and that look spot on

  8. Wotcha and welcome
  9. Wotcha and welcome - as above
  10. wotcha and welcome - running on the 99 ron stuff vpower etc will give better MPG and the shell stuff will keep all your tubes clean. There are good quality after market parts for your motor nnow so keeping it on the road will be a lot easier - stainless steel exhaust systems etc taht have lifetime quarantees, given your location might be worth looking at a second set of wheels and having some winter tyres fitted so absolutely no issues all year round
  11. Wotcha and welcome - decisions decisions as throughout teh thread - hold out for an STI, bolb will probably be your best option.
  12. Wotcha and welcome - if you decide to startg changing keep a camera handy and feel free to start a project thread

  15. Wotcha and welcome - certainly in the right place for a Fozzie to stretcth its legs
  16. wotcha and welcome - yes I will also be watching the project section
  17. Wotcha and welcome - One thing I would say is dont use cheap fuel and keep sticking an additive in every 3 tanks or so - The fuel is getting more an more bio added to it my merc vito was throwing out black gunk from the exhaust, it took a BG products clean cycle then use of additives to sort it out but it all runs a lot crisper now - and no gunk
  18. Wotha and welcome - I was also late to the party, trying to make full use of the time now though
  19. Wotcha and welcome - let us know how you get on
  20. Wotcha and welcome - would be great if you could get photos of the work as it goes along - start a project thread
  21. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to get the camera out
  22. Wotcha and welcome - you may get used to the power (or lack of) quite quickly. but you have the 4wd system so handling will be an improvement over the mazda 3, the FWD and traction control used to fight all the time when we had one and it used to kangaroo around corners then wash out
  23. Wotcha and welcome - yup dont be camera shy
