  2. looking good - need to change mine out as the chrome is all pitted
  3. yup speeding in built up areas not cool
  4. think the 1.5 / 1.6's are RWD only
  5. just done the course so all theory at this point - investing in knock / det box and an old STi to start the practical plus investing in premises cost varies dependant on use of rolling road or not and between tuners as Savage said you are looking about £600 all in maps tend to be starting from £250 I have got a couple of test subjects lined up to practice on also
  6. can vouch for the ESL product - with your car you will be able to do live mapping with the ESL ECU. The ECU from ESL comes with all the base map settings from Subaru. Cars running mafless do run rich particularly off boost.
  7. The wife had a people carrier with an older chap complete with flat cap go for it the other day problem was the road went to single lane and SWMBO was in the outside lane - need to get a turbo back on the drive as he almost won
  8. yup as Stants said
  9. With the mods I don't know if it will run particularly smoothly with a standard ECU given the freer flowing intake and exhaust? You may just be putting money in for no return
  10. The injectors may not all be spraying the same - apparently they can be really mismatched - it sounds like you have two areas to investigate prior to another garage session
  11. Sorry James - what year is your car?
  12. Jay762 replied to SOSHY's topic in Wales
    Wotcha and welcome
  13. great post - and yes heat shields do seem to present more issues than they solve - vote wraps or ceramic coats (less rattles also)
  14. I found the tarox / mintex combo years ago spot on - have you replaced the brake fluid and fitted braided hoses? Also I used black diamond pads in past and would use them again - didnt wear anywhere near as fast as the mintex
  15. Lovely lovely any mods planned?
  16. Will it rattle against the IC?
  17. so could be even more of a bargain then
  18. was that with the 15% S.O.C discount?
  19. depends on how you drive - mileage requirements etc here is a tyres discussion thread
  20. Brand Continental Sport Contact 3 Size 205 50 17 XL Approx Cost £106 a corner Opinions/ pros & cons you've come across... Great tyre - better wet grip than the Toyo Proxes T1R's I had previously, on third set of them now however would be interested in giving this a try http://www.nankangtyre.co.uk/performance/motorsport/ar-1 Went for XL rating as they were slightly cheaper than normal ones and the car may be used for towing a caravan so bit of over engineering
  21. Had an error with the link - is this the product? http://www.sportsdirect.com/lonsdale-neo-back-support-761786
