  1. The look, the sound, how it drives, the power (bear in mind i'm not running standard power anymore haha)
  2. Welcome, i wouldn't bother trying to improve performance. Subarus derive their power from turbo chargers so will never be that quick. Will handle well and stick to the road well, just enjoy then in a few yeas upgrade to an sti :)
  3. cool :D enjoy :)
  4. Tidgy replied to iank's topic in New Members Introductions
    welcome
  5. As above, sounds more like a pipe failure somewhere than a blown turbo. Tend to get oil pass through when they go so would be pumping out smoke from the exhaust.
  6. Welcome, sorry to hear your having issues :(
  7. Be aware headgasket failure on a 2.5 is a full rebuild job including bottom end. When the headgasket fails has a nasty habbit of pinching the crank bearings and damaging them meaning they fail very very soon after if not replaced.
  8. Hawk 5 speed will be fine 400+, i was running 400/420 for 18 months and about 14k miles with no issues
  9. 5-10 miles, takes a long time for the oil to get up to temp
  10. you'll find they all use the same insurers, either be marker study or highway (if i have the names right)
  11. Bonhams currently have a 22b going up for auction with 51, yes thats not a typo, 51 miles on it. One of the 3 numbered 000 as well
  12. You want to speak to Gary moulson at keith micheals, he specialises with scoobs and evo's, and just ask him any questiosn you have. They also cover mods like for like if you want. Been with them for donkeys years, there is an option for claims when you ring the main office number. He can be hard to get hold of cos hes mega busy with folks ringing him.
  13. Clinic did a shell 10 years ago, owner ran out of money so its sat up there under a sheet as just a painted shell, they moved the pillars, full 22b wide arch kit from the moulds, full welded in cage etc etc I'll try and gets some pics next time i'm up.
  14. you planning on moving the pillars?
  15. how many miles has it done in that time?
  16. Can only reiterate my quote above, JCT are building a decent reputation. Member on here picked his up yesterday, straight over to a specialist for a once over and it was given a clean bill of health inc dyno run.
  17. Judging by the graph they ran it in Australian mode,,, haha Glad it's all good.
  18. might be worth trying to find a set. car like this will have more value as close to standard as possible.
