  1. To lose enough to top up again after a couple of days then it should be visible however i had the same kind of symptoms with my wifes alfa and it was the steering rack seals which was filling up the boot on the track rod and it wasn't until it had filled right up and exploded oil everywhere that i found where the leak was, its just a thought though, could be worth a check 😎👍
  2. That looks like its just a little bracket to secure the pipe with the pipe running through it, it will be rubber lined so it doesn't rub through the pipe, is it wet as can't really tell from the pic 😎👍
  3. Welcome to the club 👍, nice looking motor that, good to hear you're enjoying it 😎👍
  4. Try Luke at importcarparts.co.uk, they do near enough everyting for scoobs and most parts are OE but much cheaper than main stealer and fast delivery times aswell 😎👍
  5. Glad to hear your happy with the car after the mapping, was it chris you dealt with as he mapped my classic last year and i must say he has done a cracking jobs no complaints here 👍
  6. Looking good matey
  7. Have to agree with @WideSam when i put the engine back in mine it was still up on stands at the front and it bled really easily and had no problems since
  8. Nice one bud👍, you'll be off to the mappers in no time 😎
  9. You may have to get the car plugged in to a laptop and get the sensor re-calibrated, we have vans in the fleet at work and when we fit a new steering angle sensor we have to plug it in and tell it it has a new one fitted then the laptop will show what angle the steering is at, you get it to 0 degrees ( straight ahead) then turn the steering lock to lock then back to centre again, its basically teaching the ecu, hopefully its the same on the scoobs, hope this helps 😎👍
  10. My wee lad the same he's absolutely gutted when i put it away for the winter all i get is when is the scooby coming back out to play haha 😂, the forge one is pretty good with it being adjustable you can have it set for recirculate or if you feeling like a yobbo you can v.t.a 😎👍
  11. Aye the kids do take up alot of time bud ma two are always getting in the way or wanting money for this and that, i actually took my baileys dump valve off and replaced it with a forge adjustable one. When you get round to mapping i would deffo give andy forrest a shout and get it done there as he a bit of a god in the scoob world, i was going to get himto do mine but he had just stopped mapping the classics 😎👍
  12. Cheers mate 👍, i bought it as a kind of wee project, it came with an apexi air filter, a old school baileys dump valve and a 3'' exhaust from the turbo back but the previous owner never had it mapped so was overboosting when giving it the beans 🤨, so had the engine out it last winter and got the heads skimmed and valves re-cut and re-seated and new gaskets, fitted yellow 440 injectors, uprated map sensor to a newer v5 sti one, got it mapped on esl by a chap called Chris at dyna tune from east kilbride, think its making around 300 ponies and thats @1.2 bar the only thing holding me back is the tmic and the next option is front mount but i'm not going down that road as want to keep the engine bay as original as i can, my mate has a blob sti type uk in crystal grey which has had the works at Rodger clark motorsport, have you any plans for your motor 😎👍
  13. Hiya pal i'm in the Scottish borders not quite paisley/barrhead but still going about, i'm sometimes going about around the stenhousemuir area as that where my mate lives( who also has a scoob) you may see him around as he goes to alot of the tartan tarmac meets which if i remember correctly are around about where you are 😎👍
  14. You will probably need to go see a mapper to get the secondary air pump mapped out, in other words telling the ecu that its not there anymore
  15. Welcome Timmy 👍, you should be able to pick up a decent blob wrx within you're budget theres loads of them out there its just finding the right one and remember go and see a few of them before you buy because there will be loads of sheds and sellers telling you this has been done, its been well looked after and all the other s**t that goes with it, make sure it has up to date service history and that theres proof of any mods done or mapping etc, servicing these cars is really simple and things like oil filter and fuel filter are easily accessible and theres loads of how to sections on here to help you out, happy shopping and we hope to see pics soon 😎👍👍
  16. Welcome to the club buddy, i'm not too clued up on the newage impreza but there should definitely be a pipe coming from that port on the boost solenoid, i think it should go to the pipe from the airbox to the turbo, https://goo.gl/images/QVz7mg Hope this helps 👍👍
  17. I'm up in scottish borders mate, i can pay postage if you're willing to sell it 🙂
  18. That looks tidy mate 👍👍
  19. Hi all does anyone have or know where i can get the exhaust housing or a complete td05 top entry turbo for a 1992 v1 wrx, just found a big dirty crack on the exhaust side of my turbo and can't seem to find anything online thats not cheap chinese rubbish with clear casting faults, cheers folks 👍😉
  20. Upgrading the spark plugs is well worth it as they will give you a stronger spark and you'll probs need them for when you get mapped as upping the boost pressure can blow the spark out on normal plugs then you start to get misfires which would mean going away fitting new uprated plugs then having to go get mapped again which all costs pennies 😉👍
  21. Welcome to the club andy 👍 nice choice of motor you got, i'm not too clued up on the newer sti's so can't really help with tips and tricks however alot of us use importcarparts.co.uk, Luke who runs the place really knows his stuff and all the parts are oem straight from subaru so you know they're quality parts, i would say stay away from ebay chinese copy parts as they are cheap for a reason, oh we would like pics of said motor we do like pics here 😉🤞
  22. Could be getting fuel cut if its overboosting with the decat up pipe and exhaust, i had that before mapping and it was like someone putting all the brakes on suddenly
  23. Welcome to the club Lucas, try Luke at importcarparts.co.uk he should be able to sort you out if they don't have it in stock they will be able to get it 👍
  24. Welcome to the club mate 👍 and to scoob life they do tend to get under you're skin, what model of wrx you got
  25. I would also check the pipes coming from the dpf to the differential pressure sensor as they could split
