Power steering whine
Bleeding used to be done by filling reservoir and turning to full lock both ways several times, watching that the reservoir doesn't go empty. I guess it's the same for scoobys.

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
I know what you mean, where I park at work is quite similar. As a idea could you not put up a 'temp' garage. I mean a gazebo or similar. Or even a timber 'shed' type thing big enough to drive into. Temporary structures wouldn't need planning permission, but I think there is a limit to the size you can go, but a gazebo....... (like the ones that Halfords use. Or even a retractable sun shade, like the ones shops use, but that would depend how close to your house you park.

Power steering whine
I guess it's a secondhand pump? Could be a duff one? Maybe air lock, how did you bleed it or I don't know if they are cross compatible maybe they are. It suited.

That would have been my guess, air in the line. How quiet is the pump? I've heard they can be quite loud?

Takata Airbag recalls
My WRX has alloy ones. To be honest they might have been done before I got it

Takata Airbag recalls
I believe some cars were fitted with steel arms and the recall will change them to alloy ones, due to rusting out. Now I may have that wrong, but it's something like that.

ECUTek
Mine has ECUTek and I've not had a problem. Yes it was locked so had to go to a garage that use it to have it altered, but at the end of the day, I'm not into changing the set up on a daily basis or am I looking to go on a track. So for me it's perfect. Like kershaw said I leave that to the professionals. If I change/upgrade a part I'll ring engine tuner first and then get them to tweet it. And they give me all the support I need. But if I was looking at lots of track days etc and had more knowledge then open source would be a better option.

Takata Airbag recalls
I had my 55 WRX done last year. I had to wait a couple weeks for airbag to arrive, but was done quickly. I would chase them up or try another dealer (if one around)

Mitsubo Cat Back Exhaust, Newage *gauging interest*
Everyone is different, I guess. My wife has driven mine a few times and every time she does she comes up with more excuses why we need to swop cars lol. But I guess it's better that she loves the car, rather than hate it.

Hello
I think the classics sti were 5 speed, but I'm sure someone will be along to confirm, savage?

Dash cams, what one?
Hi all Well yesterday I finished work, walked back to car an noticed I had a massive crack across the windscreen that wasn't there when I parked her up. Just waiting on insurance to sort it out, hopefully in time for its mot on Friday. Now I think it could have been a week screen and the heat from yesterday caused it, but........... so my wife and I are now looking at getting a dash cam or 2. Ideally I'd like a front and rear camera and more importantly I'd like it to work while car is parked and unattended without it draining the cars battery. Is this possible? I've seen many with sensors for this very thing, do they work? Can they be set to just record without motion to start them? Am I asking too much? And prices seem to range from £10-£200+, am I better of spending a bit or are cheaper ones just as good? An recommendations please. Many thanks

AutoGlym Kit
No mate lol. 1 bucket with your shampoo mixture. The second bucket with clean water to clean your sponge before dipping in soapy water again. Keeps the dirt in one place. Never put dirty sponge in soapy water.
