    Ghetto & welcome, one of the hatch owners will be along at some point with better advice but here's mine, only run it on vpower ! They suffer form det issues if you stick normal fuel in, I have a cobra with sports cat and resonated 2nd section so I'll get a vid for you if you like, The early cars suffered from Ringland failure a remap will sort this, iirc the dealership originally should have addressed this as was part of a recall, i'd check paperwork, if not may as well get a map and exhaust [emoji16] maybe not solely for power but the torque & mpg gains it offers. Anyway that's me I'm sure Jay aucky Alex or the others will give some more advice

  4. Depends on what you want ? Most of the bits are interchangeable only really shocks/ exhaust that are majorly different and won't be a straight swap
  5. How's the radio reception ? My radio antenna ' s in the glass on both rear windows

I'd have a word my dad's just had some car park dings and a scuff on the rear bumper done for 150 and it's a good job, I know they are franchises but I'm sure they must have the same training, I only paid 300 for a new sill & part arch +paint on my old mazda. Maybe they didn't want the work archnd quoted so much, is your colour hard to match ?

  8. Not sure, I wanted them all the same but can't get the oil temp one I want so may go for a pair of stack ones and my existing multi boost o/p I'm already pooing myself at the little info I've got [emoji52]
  9. Haha nope but I'm stuck for a 3rd one if I go down the centre console mount, volts or water temp ? I can plug it into the laptop and check voltage seems a steady 13v but as it's free ware nowt to say that it's buggy too
  10. Yeah, I'm guessing it's all related, i'm leaning more towards alternator/ battery not holding charge, been driving round with the lights/heater/radio all day see if it will charge haha. Randomly my oil pressure light on dash would flicker when turning over now it's solid then goes out, I'll test the battery tomorrow
  11. Seems a bit steep is that a proper body shop or a 'chips away' place ? Colin, it will slowly drop to .9 then I need to blip the throttle to stop it cutting out,
  12. 1.8-1.3 bar depending on if I've been sitting in traffic cooking away, I've always assumed it reads a little low being over no3 but it's freaking me out. It's almost as if the car wants to stall and that's why it's dropping

Scareing the !Removed! out of myself in traffic again, oil pressure dropped to 0.9bar then picked up at least twice on way home, going to relocate sender and gubbins this week, the cars running better than it ever has so I'm a bit confused, maybe the battery's on it's way out and not holding charge

Gone are the days of me spending silly money on a set up, luckily the previous owner had a good kenwood unit so I went to halfords and ended up buying a mix due to the stupid sizes have some 4.5 vibe slik ? In the rear and some 5.6 edge in the front, sounds ok but had to install an active sub under the passenger seat as it was a coax setup that I took out, think the speakers cost about 45 quid much improved, with the sub even better. Not stupid bass but compliments the rest of the system

  16. Depends on how much they are after for it, plus i'd like to know how long it's been sat there looking a the weeds for a little while at least, have a good check underneath for signs of rust as it doesn't take long for it to start if parked up on grass,

  19. Hello & welcome nice looking legacy/liberty [emoji1] I'm sure one of the leggy owners will be along at some point to help diagnose, have you plugged it into a diagnostic reader ? My limited guess may be a nock sensor or cam position sensor gone duff.
  20. If doing loads of short trips best to run the car with the sidelights on as they use a smart alternator so it won't be kicking in to recharge the battery on short trips, With the lights & stereo on it will draw current and the car will 'see ' it needs to switch the alternator on
  21. Who's that with ? Could always try one of the companies that will install a black box to monitor your driving, also have a your mum or dad as 2nd driver, is it garaged &with a cat 1 alarm ? What area do you live in and consider how many miles you do a year, maybe look into a limited mileage policy

All depends, i'm not to sure on newage cars but jap imports always used to come with higher specs better equipment in cabin, I doubt the jdm wrx's will be forged normally just sti's that get goodness like that, they used to come with more power, mine for instance has a bigger turbo than the eudm foresters. So it could be bigger turbo/ injestors different cams etc maybe 05's will be a twin scroll not to sure. Basically the insurance companies see it's an import and ads some on for A, different specs/more power B, availability of spares & repair items, even though this is ****** as mine is identical in every way build wise to eudm cars so I can order just about anything from dealer or online and it will fit. C, because every one adds jdm tax, no matter what it is

  24. You also have to take into account how many have been stolen or written off as this increases the premium so it's not necessarily purely down to engine size
  25. Have a word with Chris D as he's a 'young' driver and he managed to get his quotes down from 5 k to around 2kish I think
