  1. I'm the third owner of mine. If it's had asda 10w40 oil in it run away. Just little pointers in the quality of branded parts used.
  2. Standard car at 65k but it does depend on a lot more factors. Service history for a start. Type of parts used for services. Number of owners. Recent work carried out. Even the brand of tyres.
  3. Welcome to the club.
  4. Yes mate, I know it is. 93 RON in the US is made with the AKI and MON. Therefore IS 93 is UK 97.4 aka Super Unleaded. Here's a conversion chart that uses the formula's: http://www.pencilgeek.org/2009/05/octane-rating-conversions.html Plus the ECU should in theory read and compensate for the different octanes by retarding the timing and lowering the maximum boost output, even if it is slightly worse. Sticker on fuel cap says use Super Unleaded only. Like I said, seems to be running like a champ at the moment. Obviously if available and near by I'll put the 99 octane in... Thought I'd share it with everyone [emoji5] It's very easy for the unaware to look at the two numbers and think US fuel is **** compared to UK. Much like a US gallon and UK gallon.
  5. American Ron is calculated differently to ours. You can't compare us93ron to uk95ron. Quick bit of further reading suggests that us93ron is equivalent to uk99ron. They combine AKI and MON
  6. I like having the badges on the bootlid. Stick them back on.
  7. Oil pressure, oil temperature and boost. Can't help you on brands. I went for a cheap depo 4-1 and it's been fine for the 18ish months I've had it.
  8. That's not entirely accurate. Maybe the abused 10+ owner cars that no-one seems to care about will need extensive work. I own a uk classic which is on 173k miles. There's plenty of owners out there running high mileage cars.
  9. So jealous [emoji19] [emoji7]
  10. Welcome to the club.
  11. What brand does it have printed on it?
  12. Stick with the black Subaru filters. They changed the design on the blue ones and problems have been reported
  13. Sorry I missed your mention of the meets. We didn't have anything this week as quite a few were at Bedford for some track time.
  14. Oh, nice one!
  15. Good to see it back on the road. Would they not replace parts like for like?
  16. Welcome to the club. Feel free to mooch about. Wealth of knowledge amongst these topics. Stick a few pics up too 😀
  17. It's likely related to the abs sensor but as linx said, do a code check. There's a thread on here explaining how.
  18. Actual failures or are they creating work for themselves again? [emoji23] [emoji8]
  19. Do you have the GC8 code that's on the plate under the bonnet? You should have GC8D4ED.
  20. ABS light could be a sensor or cracked ring. Best bet is to get the fault code read. Doesn't need to be Subaru specialist but they will need an OBD reader.
  21. Doesn't need obd reader if it's a v3 classic. I'll find the link that gives the full description and codes but briefly, under the steering column you will find two black connectors and two green. Connect black to black. Turn ign on and watch the cel flash. Long flash is a ten, short flash is a one. Add them up and that's your code. Edit: Link for thread.
  22. HPI checks will show stolen and accident history. They usually cost around £5
  23. Mine does exactly the same.
  24. Love an auto correct Ha ha thanks for pointing that out [emoji23]
  25. 05 blob eyes have DCCD, they're known as widetracks. Twinscroll turbos don't have the burble either.
