  1. Addressing the sounds inside and out - like it :)
  2. Sorry chum not had any experience with those - however does sound like the central locking activator needs checking
  3. HKS do some quality pieces of kit but they can be noisy - I dont know about this particular one though
  4. Fair enough - I understand
  5. Check the for sale section - chap listed a classic wrx recently
  6. Sounds like a plan - The only thing I would look at, other than the mods you have suggested, with the WRX is possibly an STI spoiler on the hatch http://j-w-racing.co.uk/product.php/5268/1416/seibon_oem_style_carbon_fibre_rear_spoiler_for_2008_2009_subaru_impreza_wrx_sti
  7. with a standard Shark STI you are looking at around 296bhp do the PPP mods as you describe and that will take it to a conservative 326-330 bhp. However what you get with the STI vs WRX are chassis changes and 6 speed gearbox. The wheel bearings and hubs are bigger and lighter designed to handle the heat from heavy braking. IMO complete the mods you plan and look at changing the car in a couple of years What I dont know with the WRX is the state of the internal components, if they would take the potential 300bhp you fancy - the STI has forged pistons,
  8. Top job that, do like the blue ☺
  9. Nice motor that, premium price though
  10. They will do the job no problem :)
  11. Good luck with the sale - tidy looking motor that
  12. it is like bikers - I exchange flash lights and the odd wave etc, do for all models but get most response from Imprezas and legacies, the Fozzies by me tend to be driven by the older generation and dont respond :)
  13. It was predominantly the early STi's or cars that didnt check oil levels (eg Petes mate) the 330 mapping and 2009 on STi's have the revised parameters
  14. im sure you would have a few volunteers standing by ;)
  15. I would also confirm on dyno when time allows - pity Im not down near you at the moment I'd quite happily play Goose ;)
  16. Ahh yes of course i remember signing something as well that all footage was copyright msv when i did a day there
  17. Found it, it is the thread titled Newbie from Gloucestershire
  18. my there is some girth to that one young man :D - should sort the issues no problem - will you try it on the road anyway and see if the boosts holds as the map has already in place or not due to unknown parameters incompleted on the RR?
  19. if you are referring to the ringland failure yes it shouldnt be an issue in teh first place - there is a recent thread on here with the same discussion it includes detail from Subaru about investigations into the cause
  20. 330 should be just fine - it has already had the ECU parameters done as part of making it a 330 - check service history and ensure oil level is correct - away you go attach smile :)
  21. excellent - keep a camera handy - or before and after videos would be great ;)
  22. Samco hoses are good - UK co if I am correct or try these guys UK made http://roosemotorsport.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_151
