  1. Wotcha and welcome - It all depends on how you drive and what you demand of your brakes. My STI came with brembo pads but I replaced them with EBC's redstuff currently I am running EBC's basic ultimax on the RX which is half the BHP. I have used mintex in the past with no issues other than they wore very quickly when used with tarox grooved discs. Nothing wrong with Ferodo or the black diamond options have used both brands in the past
  2. Wotcha and welcome - looks better with the arches filled on the lowered springs
  3. Wotcha and welcome - jeez hope the injury wont stop you from driving completely. feel free to put up a post in the for sale section once you have all the photos sorted
  4. Wotcha and welcome
  5. Yup that looks the same as the part on the web link - think they are standard across the Hawk range - possibly bug and blob as well?
  6. Yup I hope he got out - wouldn't have turned down the offer myself but hey ho, cant do any more than offer as you did.
  7. Thought these would be a standard fit item across the range - any chance of a photo then members who have pulled the panels off before can maybe identify an alternate model? This link - although a US site gives a part number which you could cross reference against other models, again which may give you an idea of cross compatability http://parts.northendsubaru.com/a/Subaru_2006_Impreza25L-5MT-4WDSedan/_54105_6023550/DOOR-PARTS-GLASS--REGULATOR-FRONT/G11-606-01.html
  8. I dont know as this club has booked a stand yet??
  9. ahhh I will raise that with them then if needs be - cant see the point if they dont work as they should do - particularly as it is not a cheap piece of kit. It wasnt for any performance gain as its an NA car but more for it being stainless steel (shiny object )
  10. How did he get the RAC to come out in first place
  11. That will come secondary to smiling
  12. easy enough to fit an oil temp gauge to be absolutely certain but I would drive after a minute of two but not boost / high rev until happy the oil was thoroughly warmed up
  13. cant decide resonated vs non resonated cat back system, I was tempted to go up there and check out a sports cat replacement but I will see what the emissions result is and condition when it goes in for MOT next week They have some comparison videos on the site, just not in the same video segment
  14. Brilliant - cheaper than the other I was looking at and made in UK
  15. Sounds awesome - wonder if it will fit on my NA impreza
  16. Wotcha and welcome!!

no more head gasket failures.... Given the components to make the batteries are as finite as oil I reckon the hydrogen fuelled is a better long term investment - a greater supply, water as an output reaction, no brainer. Only problem is the patents are held by big oil co's and every time someone invents a variant they keep disappearing or dying in strange circumstances.
  18. Shame to hear but sometimes it happens this way...but you know where we are, I was scoobyless contributor in between imprezas so no need to be a stranger
  19. fixing your own engine will give you a known good unit to start again plus you could upgrade some parts at the same time, possibly rectifying why the engine failed in the first place. Also the numbers will still match on your motor.
  20. Lovely motor - good luck with the sale
  21. Go for a Fozzie STI but take off your diving boots before driving - 30+ mpg on a run
  22. Was talk a while back but he had invested a lot in it so decided against, however since his rep took a massive boost getting a ticket with 45bhp of snarling renault madness he may have reconsidered
