  1. Wotcha and welcome - might be a simple fix before going the whole hog, flush with 5.1 replace brake lines with braided alternatives? But what are the symptoms, are you looking for disc & pad replacement or calipers as well? Here are some off the shelf options http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=37_494&osCsid=q3djm63omgu3vuv30hc9ui6pk4
  2. How did you get on?? Had a thought - is there a significant weight increase with the 18 inch alloys over the 17's? some aftermarket alloy and wheel combinations can be heavier than the originals?
  3. On its own I wouldnt bother - spend your money elsewhere. Most recent example is here - going back to a standard box removed the hesitation experienced with an induction kit
  4. Wotcha and welcome!!
  5. Wotcha and welcome - love a hatch me
  6. yup - IMO a bit much - one or the other
  7. I use a dremmel and the plastic brushes instead of the metal ones - saves on the elbow grease
  8. looking good - liking the piano black
  9. nice clean garage there - wonder how long it will stay like that
  10. Wotcha and welcome - as above due to it being N/A big power wont be something to go for but as Stants said plus look at a high flow panel filter with a freer flowing exhaust (sport cat) then a remap - this wont give massive bhp but will ensure your engine is running at its optimum so best mpg etc will be possible
  11. yup they are on this forum somewhere - I know Gambit uploaded some ages ago but here is an alternate link that may work... http://jdmfsm.info/Auto/Japan/Subaru/Impreza/?utm_source=SubaruOwnersClub&utm_medium=ForumLinks
  12. Not a fan of the evo vortex roof spoiler I prefer the high line roof blade option, like the big spoiler on boot lid though High line roof blade example http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Carbon-Fiber-Roof-Spoiler-For-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-STI-2002-2007-GD-GG-Racing-AT-/220497375232
  13. wow - some power to weight ratio that!!
  14. cherry bomb
  15. As above - what are the indications you need the valves clearances checking adjusting?
  16. Matts guidance is almost correct follow most of what he said but look at the turbo itself - it is stamped / cast on the housing
  17. Sometimes standard is not too bad, given the amount of research manufacturers go through too get something that works under a wide variety of driving conditions
  18. Wotcha and welcome!!
  19. Wotcha and welcome!!
  20. mudflaps will also help protect the rear doors - had them on my impreza, there was some pittting but more likely from gravel / tarmac thrown up from the road. Keep us posted on you choice
  21. hmm no, profile size matches with what I ran although I had 245's on the 18's, that shouldn't affect it though
  22. Wotcha and welcome - plenty of classic knowledge on this forum
  23. Yup this is an issue with keeping the lower panels in place, water sits there and rots the subframes. Fortunately it is a reasonably straightforward job to repair / repaint or replace the units
  24. I'm with Stants - remove it and get a lip spoiler - not keen on that particular style of spoiler risers or not. But that is just my opinion
