  1. I know mines not a turbo but the Tesco 99 gave a noticable difference in response and mpg compared to shell vpower - was not as good so I try and use shell where possible - will be trying teh BP excellium in a bit see how that compares
  2. Not bad at all that :)
  3. Wotcha and welcome - ooooh the anticipation :)
  4. You might be as well spending a tenner on a basic multimeter and labelling them up yourself?
  5. That does look a tidy example - not many in green either
  6. Wotcha and welcome - lovely piece of kit that ;)
  7. I agree - shouldnt smell like that
  8. Is it a standard car - do you use V power or equivalent? you should be up around 24 - 28? But if you get it breathing properly with a less restrictive pipe and a panel filer you shoudl see some improvement as the engine will be flowing a littel more freely
  9. Yup its often said the classic is a more focussed drivers car over the newer models
  10. Well I do love a hatch me - but agree with above comment it needs a performance version with wider wheel arches, black grills and something to make it a bit more focussed in terms of presence - as is it will just blend into the back ground - which actually driving the RX demonstrates - I dont get the scooby wave anymore :(
  11. Wotcha and welcome - Before I get into some detail - what is the insurance group for your car - some places say a 4 some say a 14?? You have a NA car so the power gains you will get from engine tweaking will be minimal so get it running spot on - panel filter and exhaust, good service - oil plugs etc. keep it on vpower or the like as you can definitely tell a difference in my NA motor. Possibly look at remap to match flow to engine fuelling (A car running tip top has better emmisions and if it is running as it should be will be running at its optimum efficiency) Then look at power to weight ratio - lose whatever weight you can from the car. (this also gives better fuel economy) Then look at chassis mods to improve stopping and turning (this improves the safety of the car)

    Halloween

we were surprised - x1 knock all night - very quiet this year
  13. Wotcha and welcome - well however you choose to interact all friendly on here so feel free to jump in :)
  14. Wotcha and welcome - agree you may need to go the bespoke route but it will mean you will get the sound you want and a lifetime guarantee. I have a 2.0 NA hatch and looked at some different options but the longlife powerflow option looks better than most aftermarket imports
  15. awww - good luck with the sale Gem, know you spent some serious TLC on it. You know where we are when you need to scratch that itch again :)
  16. Do you have a link to the fog lights - I have got the IPF main site but cannot find the light units you have sourced?
  17. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to jump right in :)
  18. I had it one time - couldnt work out where is was coming until I saw the culprit one day - followed it back - into the next street - and had a word with its owner, to be fair he said he wasnt aware the dog was doing it, I suggested him having more control over his dog but it didnt happen again. unfortunately you are in the place where the dog thinks that is its new toilet so the habit / routine will have to be broken somehow
