    ah k, something has changed them, could be crank sensor but could be alot of other things :( Can you get it to a specialist for a diagnosis? (and i dont just mean computer says jobbie)

    TBH im not actualy sure, had it done to my volvo and it then blew up a month later. Did seem to run better after though to be fair, that was a diesel. Theres some debate about if its worth it on a subaru engine. Due to the way they work they are less susceptible to build up due to the design of them, especially if you run Vpower with the cleaning agents in it. Im not aware of anyone who has done a true back to back to find out actualy what difference it makes.

    Sounds like it Needs a good once over with a specialist. Could be the exhaust is causing the fueling issues and 2as never mapped for it, or it could be fuel pump is on its way out etc etc. Need to get it looked at by someone who knows what they are doing

    was already in the highest band iirc so made no difference.

    Yeah get it checked out, but from what you describe doesnt sound good. Did you buy it private or from a garage?

    Catalunya was a UK only car so would have been the full inventory in the UK. Type r was jap only and special order in Japan but no limit on how many. Made to order just refers to they were only built when they had a customer, it wasn't a limited edition as such.

    By nock do you mean from in the engine itself or something like a mount? If it's engine nock at low revs could be crank bearings, just depends.

    Depends who you ask, to me P1 is a watered down type r, so IMO Type r is a much better car.

    If its not been mapped for the mods could well be causing the issue

    yeah its proven to be not very accurate unfortunately.

    wont have been low enough to be an issue if it was still on the dipstick, not even 1L between low and high on it iirc. Sounds like you need to get it back to the garage to diagnose it.

    Sounds like it may have droped the crank :( was the oil level still on the dipstick?

    The difference is his technical knowledge and working practices are known to be bad, he doesn't even road test cars after mapping, that isn't opinion, its a known fact. He's been drummed off 22b, SN and other sites and its Andy forrest who first called him dung khan, so take what you want form it, but when you get the top mappers/tuners in the country saying he's bad then it's up to you if you want to believe it or not. It sounds like you have been lucky to say the least, but sooner or later it will bite you in the **** im sure.

    Your gonna get issues now and again no mater who you are, I can accept that, its how you deal with them that sets you apart. Everytime his name is mentioned on SN people come out with complaints about him. Given you know what experiences people are having with him im amazed you'll let him anywhere near your car tbh, even a broken clock is right, twice a day.

    Actualy i take it back, only ever heard them called boost solenoids, not boost control solenoids, which is the actual name. I had one of these on mine, http://shop.scoobyclinic.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=265_285&product_id=666 Not had any dealings with any of the other brands to be fair.

    Just get a 3 port boost solenoid. There is no need for any additional boost control.
