  6. In case you don't know there's a website called humble bundle. They sell packs of games discounted and the money goes to charity, well worth a look cos you can pick up some bargins. It's fully legit and typicly the stuff is redeemed through steam (used it fair few times myself) Additionaly now and then they give out free games, https://www.humblebundle.com/store/the-bureau-xcom-declassified?linkID=&mcID=102:5a1f4eaad6ab4e4d7c79b4f9:ot:56e301ae733462ca897cd1f5:1&utm_source=Humble+Bundle+Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2017_11_30_thebureau_xcomdeclassified_storefront&utm_content=Banner so dip yer bread :D
  7. sounds like it needs a good once over by someone in the know.
  8. nice, saw it had been on the dyno. so question is whats the next mods? hahaha
  9. cheers chaps
  10. bummer, they giving you your money back?
  11. ah fair enough, was gonna say theres plenty of choice up this way
  12. ah fair do's, i thought all of the alarms fitted to subarus were sigmas
  13. if the key is working then its just the radio fob, have a hunt round inside and see if you can find that pad either in the glove box or hidden away somewhere. Mines a single button, but the spare didnt work remotely. they are all sigma fobs so just need to put a code in and you can reprogram it yourself, assuming of course its just lost the frequency.
  14. does they key work in the ignition still? do you have a number keypad ? looks like this,
  15. dont touch generic chips/maps with a barge pole, easiest way to pop your engine
  16. what do you mean by usable map? you talking about getting the ecu remaped?
  17. When you've seen as many people as i have with cars that have left in a state by him as i have you'd understand. But there is a difference between things going wrong just because they do and going wrong because your not following basic accepted practices.
  18. i can understand that, but as an example, pat wont let a car go out the door if it isn't right, full stop. He will run over into the next day. But you cant map round a duff maf sensor. Ask piggy on here, he went to him and ended up claiming his money back via his credit card.
  19. road test is a must after a dyno map, dyno is good but it doesn't 100% simulate road conditions. Det can be present with that change in conditions. Dung khan as andy forrest named him is one of the worst out there, some are right, but then a worrying number go wrong. Not road testing, mapping 'round' mechanical faults etc etc.
  20. you wont know what its doing as far as det goes. Get it checked out by someone who knows what they are doing asap and id advise staying off the loud pedal till you do.
  21. did he road test it after it was mapped?
  22. new block isn't always the best, a seasoned block is by far a better choice, aka a decent used one that's gone through heat cycles. Most big power builds used seasoned blocks
  23. just depends what sort of budget your thinking of. if your planing to keep the car i would always say fork out for a proper rebuild, second hand engines are just that. After that again it just depends what you want to do. a classic sti engine will drop straight in and be fine for 300-350 assuming you can find a decent one.
