  1. ticked the counter over to 40miles to first oil change :D
  2. as above, depends what plugs they were inc or + vat etc etc
  3. 54/500 miles to go,,,,
  4. about 15 miles so far,,,,,,,, hahaha
  5. i believe 9 of the 10 22b.com subarus and all 10 of the r35's were running syvecs at ten of the best this year. bit of an accolade that lol apparently they are in most of the top tuner cars out there now, mikee's drag car, and f's drag car, even gobstopper 2 is now running one. and that doesnt include allt he lambo's, r8's etc that now have them
  6. Depends when you dig into it mate, i asked pat that very question and while it does the same things, it does it in a different way which isn't ideal. Bit like the difference between a syvecs and alcatek, while broad strokes they do the same thing when you dig down into the spec and such they are very different. as always its cost vs features/performance, its why syvecs isn't cheap
  7. perfectly capable for a near standard car to be mapped though, (decat, panel filter) once it goes beyond that i'd be wanting to go afterkarket ecu anyway. personaly i;d just go the extra mile for a syvecs though
  8. tbh bit of a waste of time, you can ecutek the standard ecu for the same money, or alcatek isn't huge amounts more and is a much better option then either.
  9. haha yeah, up to about 290 done now, so first nearly at first oil change then onto the second 500

Depends what you want from em and how hard you hit em, can't beat a nice set of AP's or D2's, stay clear of ksport though, the dust seals on em are !Removed!

most of the braking on a subaru is done by the front, so some simple groved ones (stay away from drilled cos they have a nasty habbit of cracking) will be fine.
  12. 230/500 miles to go,,,,
  13. It's one of those mods that some cars run funny unless mapped for one, some cars run fine even unmapped for one cheap tends to mean problems, weak springs that bleed boost is a common issue. http://shop.scoobyclinic.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_111&product_id=613 also need adaptor as well though

thats a good one, seems to be more and more common. right money maker for dealers, £3 bulb cost £30-50 to replace cos of the labour involved.
  15. you can try a few things, as said, spark plugs/gap, ht leads, coil pack, etc etc but it all costs money and may not solve it. advantage of goign to a specialist is they can try a few things to see if it solves the problem. The other issue with misfire codes is they might not actualy be misfire, might be a default code its used. My dads kept getting missfire on cylinder 3, turned out to be something rather more sinister
  16. need a specialist to look at it, could be any number of things
  17. I'd stick with a decent brand, GFB are decent bits of kit.

How about MAF's and their removal via the use of after market ECU. They are a known weak point so typicly get removed and MAP sensor used.
  19. hahahahaha, volvo is me daily, scoob the weekend toy :D volvo is lower up the ***** end of the scale than bmw, merc and audi hahaha
  20. Hell yeah lol First milage this evening just driving for driving sake. Man have I missed that. Don't get me wrong can drive a volvo v50 all day, but it's just not the same thing
  21. keep it off boost and under 3k rpm till its mapped, sounds like the ecu is doing its damdest to stop the engine going boom.
  22. ah I get what your saying. for road use 2.5, for track 2.1 or 2.35
  23. driven it :D hahaha
  24. but have to say I'm not a big fan of bush,,,,,,,, hahahaha 440/500 miles to go,,,,
