  2. last one that came up in the auctions in japan went for over £70k and it was a total dog. One for sale in hong kong for $110K. by the time you pay tax and import costs etc your not gonna be far off 100K landed price 22b's are worth some serious serious money now
  3. p1's?

  6. Save yer money and dont bother is by far the best way to install it
  7. yep as suspected there is a whole lot more to it than is being said. Usual 'expert' crew of houghy and hammond stirring the pot with half stories and picking a choosing what info to bother to read or understand. leave em to it.
  8. Heard summit about it but not been up to ask what cracked off. I suspect there's a whole lot more to it than is being said. Always is. I'll see what i can find out.
  9. assumes its not a wrx block. Out of the 2.1 and 2.5 for a road car 2.5 is way better, cant beat low down grunt it has :D im only running 330bhp, but 380ftlb haha
  10. lmao, it's turned into a honda bash hahaha good job OP has a scoob now lol
  11. hahaha
  12. !Removed!, i totaly missed this thread or i would have mentioned about the brakes :( Spacers or different wheels are your only options. The brembos are pretty crap as far as clearance goes. even AP 6 pots are better :o
  13. O did you know you an get a Type R with awd straight from the manufacturer,,,,, hahahaha :D All good banter :D
  14. Is the existing block semi closed or open deck? If so 2.1 will be a cheaper option Its really down to what you want to do and budget, the heads will mate to either option, personal choice would be closed deck converted 2.5. whats in my type R now :D Built right a closed deck 2.5 will do 500 and still be reliable.
  15. Welcome. Where about's in derbyshire? I'm up Ripley way. First thing, run it on Vpower or tesco 99 only. Nothing else. Oil changes every 5k If a fault pops up or its not driving right, don't try to drive through it, get it checked out and if you have to drive it keep it off boost and under 3k rpm. You can do more damage if you try to push when its not running right. Keeps up with servicing and maintenance
  16. All cars of that age are prone to it. It's the 2.5 engine that is a dog from the factory, wrx and sti. Rebuilt right then they make a great engine though.
  17. purely out of noseyness Who do you work for B?
  18. I'm ripley
  19. Don't believe all the power figures that come out of the US, most are rubbish. If your aiming for mid 600's then i would go to a tuner and get them to spec and built one for you, gonna be a big big list and hefty price tag to boot. Going to various different places will prob cause you issues in the long run if the power level isn't achieved.
  20. Opie oils is best place to buy fluids from, 99% of the time the cheapest too and then if not they price match lol.
  21. Ah fair do's, missed what you were getting at No, they use a local engineering firm, can't remember the name of it now but they have used them for years for all the machining. Nearly did go to Alyn for mine but since it needed a block and was going for honing etc just went to the same place for converting.
  22. how about box's? hahaha
  23. Sleaving is different to inserts, if only going for around 550 then ej25 cdb converted would prob be the better option hence my question
  24. I presume stolen your magazine to read? or in the case of cats, lay on hahaha
  25. Personally i wouldn't bother, there is a risk of the sleeves dropping and your back to square one. What are your plans as far as power go?
