Regards nobbers wanting to race. The thing I like about the hatch is it's a lot more stealth than a rally blue saloon. I don't get a lot of nobbers pestering me, have a few Beemers give it some at the lights, I just switch to S# and leave them standing at the lights, if I get time I'll turn the traction control off aswell mmwwwwaaarrrgghhhhh! Regards lorries, although never driven one, I am pretty conscious of what it takes to drive one so will give room at turnings or not pull in front if I want to turn off knowing they take a lot to stop. Same goes for bikes I'll move over and give them room to pass safely in traffic not pull out in front ect, however it is nice for both the biker and trucker to acknowledge you. Which is few and far between. In fairness though for bike it's the mopeds and scooters that don't give a toss, bikers tend to be much better. Cyclists however is another matter!

I used hair dryer then nail varnish remover and loads of elbow grease to remove the residue, then polished with my usual car polish.

It's fpan's on Surrey Scoobies, I just spreading the word. It fits cleanly in a single DIN hole (with side screws) or in a top pod, the size is the same as a single DIN stereo. I forgot to say that you can read fault codes and reset the ECU as well.

Remove the two bolts on front of bench (where your calves would be if sitting down on seat) then from the middle of the back push down on the seat and it will unclog from the back support. Then there are 3 bolts that bolt into where the bench part was remove these and lft the back support up and away. Now carefully remove the parcel shelf which is held in with plastic clips, this gives you acces to the top mounts of the rear suspension.

I love gadgets. Me and a mate are into the same kind of stuff and if one of us gets the "I wants!" The other makes them wait a few weeks if they still want it after that time and the other thinks it's a cool then we usually get it. Works quite well as so far we have saved each other thousands of £'s on stuff like big scale RC cars, those electric drifting buggies, electric bikes, RC motorbikes, + all the other extras to mod them. Our main hobby of 1/28th scale indoor RC cars is a good example of when we do get into something it's not cheap :( It's not a big deal to me at the mo as I only have to support the car and not a wife, cars can't say no :) although they can cost as much :D He's lucky in that his wife doesn't mind what he does with his spare cash.

It connects to the OBD port under the dash It reads various engine parameters from the ECU e.g. Intake Air Temperature (never push the car after standing in traffic when IAT get high), Knock Correction (one of the most useful parameters IMHO; +ve when the engine adds ignition, -ve when it detects knock and removes ignition, useful in order to know the petrol you are using is up to the job), Coolant Temperature, Ignition Advance, Front lambda (good to know when it fails to save your engine!), Throttle Position, Engine Speed (rpm), Road speed (mph or kmh), Air Flow, Boost Pressure and with additional sensors it can also monitor Oil Pressure and Oil Temperature. It will fit either above/below a singe DIN stereo or on the top dash like I have mine. These are getting rare now,

I am posting this as I had to back out of Purchasing it and feel bad. This is a great bit of Kit and a bargin at £250. PSI3 data monitor, It is the VFD display version but not the graphical one. £250 posted to a UK address. Very useful as it can save your engine/wallet from e.g. a bad batch of petrol. It comes complete with the cable needed to connect it and the instruction manual.

It's worth looking into other products beside halfrauds stuff, Poorboys, dodo juice and Bilt Hamber all come to mind they are all professional brands used by detailers and are often cheaper and a much better product. As my Halfrauds stuff runs out it will be replaced with Poorboys and Bilt Hamber products from around the net.

It's a fair old lump the AC pump, however removing it will give negligible gains re weight loss. If your not going to use may aswell take it off anyway. You can also remove the air ocn rad and piping aswell.

Just got the rest of my engine plastics hydro dipped in gold carbon @aqua grapics in blackwood Gwent done a spot on job.

Mines permantly lit, but dims when the lights are on, not really much help with the original question :)

Find had to believe so many people under 30 can get insurance on them. When I got my classic back in 2001 I had to pay through the nose for the 1st cple of years even with full no claims. The 1st year a fair few brokers wouldn't even quote me as I didn't have the experience in a car that powerful. Even though I was stepping up from a 205 Gti. They are fairly cheap now and it's so easy to get insurance on the classics these, days means it's in reach of the scrottes.
