  1. Sounds like the Thermostat might have gone.
  2. If you don't want them Salsa I'll have them off you. God knows why they used Forrester units on the UK Impreza's
  3. They don't normally issue numbers for PPP'd cars. There must be more badging on the car. Maybe the vin number will give clues? What does the log book say?
  4. No idea then only official UK specials I know of was the P1, WR1, RB320, RB5 and UK300, Terzo, Catalunya and series McRae but it's none of those. I found this page on SIDC http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.php/SidcFaq/SpecialEditions Maybe it's a: Prodrive WR Sport Take the standard Impreza Turbo from new and add the full Prodrive interior treatment, suspension package, body kit, wheels with exclusive WR interior and exterior badging (engine upgrade not compulsory) and an official World Rally Sport limited edition of the Impreza Turbo is yours (for £30,000).
  5. Use a hair dryer and not a heat gun is the best advice I can give.
  6. Paintless dent removal doesn't work on resin bumpers only on metal panels. Chips away type repair guys would be able to do it, they'd sand it back, use a resin filler and repaint the affected areas, normally £80-100 per dent/chip. Body shops would charge upto £250 a panel so would expect it to be around that area. Other option is to find a pristine replacement bumper in same colour or get one that needs a re spray.
  7. Easy enough to do however your current headlights are Morrettes and if original are worth a fair bit of cash.
  8. failure to obey a traffic light. Basically a red light camera nabbed her :( I've read elsewhere that most insurance companies don't take much notice of 3 points,
  9. would be a good idea to sign up at http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/ as well as here :)
  10. My girlfriend has just got a TS10 and is worried her premium will go up by a massive amount. Shes had 3 speeding points in 2010 so they have now expired. is the premium likely to get hiked? cheers
  11. Tbh I haven't really come across anyone on the site with Defi gauges, however I have managed to find this instruction manual which may help. http://www.defi-shop.com/media/dlink.pdf
  12. It won't run the battery down over night. Mine doesn't seem to have any issues removing it. It pretty much the same as the older style scary connector. Maybe yours has a clip or something that locks it in and you need to press a small button to get it out? Pics of the reader in the connector would help also a pic of the odb you bought may shed some light.
  13. No they aren't reusable, the reusable ones are a foam type construction similar to mushroom filters and use a light machine oil to trap the particles, you can wash them out and then spray a light coat of oil back on them so they don't lose performance. The cosworth filter is a similar construction to the stock yellow fibre type. They use a much finer weave than the stock ones and have a larger surface area to improve the filters performance. They get gummed up over time and can't be washed out, so you have to replace them as part of the normal service routine.
  14. Have you called Scoobyworld? They are very helpful.
  15. They are legal, I ran an afterburmer Vortex for years on my classic, they sound awsome and can easily top over 100db. The sound does get to you after awhile on a long journey. Turbo back will be much louder than a cat back as you are removing the cat which also acts as a muffler.
  16. Check out this thread as another GX owner asked a very similar question. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/13366-air-intake-something-missing-here/
  17. Looks like a good motor price is a bit high, they were that sort of price when I bought my type UK 2 years ago, but it's very low mileage so I guess that offsets the higher £'s
  18. Keep in mind a serviceable item and needs to be changed as per the service intervals. it will give a slight boost in performance. Ive been running one since my last service.
  19. i would say it will also be different pipe work underneath, mounting brackets will be different as well. I believe this is a WRX engine bay (according to google images.) This is my STI engine bay totally different...
  20. There's a list of breakers posted by gambit floating around somewhere. If you say gambit three times he should pop into the thread, he's a bit like Beetlejuice lol
