When you replace the pump hatch do not over tighten the bolts, had a member here snapped one off 😂 Think the recommended torque is about 15nm as long as you do them up like you'd do a cylinder head should be fine Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Nope ipc can't get them for some reason, I had to order mine from the states was quicker and cheaper than subaru UK Think I paid about 13 quid Inc shipping and took ten days, Subaru UK wanted 28quid and 4-6weeks ! Is yours the oval shaped hatch ? If so I'll dig out the part number Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Gearbox, diff oil change advice please
Gearbox and diff oil is easy, it won't have been done when the clutch was replaced as there's no real need unless you had a major service done ?? The interval is 3 years Iirc. Gearbox/front diff, there's a drain plug on underside of the box, remove and drain, as for re filling you have to use the gearbox dip stick hole underneath the intercooler, a funnel and length of hose is easiest for this. Rear diff there's a drain hole and a fill hole on the back of the diff as you look at it from behind, think they are 22/23mm plugs, undo the top one 1st to make sure it comes free, then undo the drain plug at bottom, Refute drain plug, fill via the top hole until it starts to come out the pop the plug back in again Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Get a pump lid gasket, as chances the original will have seen better days, then at least you won't have to pull the thing apart twice Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Oil filter, do I have the right one?
It's all good, black or blue both do the same job, although if you read the internets the black ones are supposed to be better And being jdm instantly gives you 5+ bhp 😂 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

£500 to spend on improved performance for Forester 122bhp non-turbo - suggestions?
As matt says, Easiest way to make an na car faster is to strip weight, If you want to go to town you could look at lowering it slightly and fitting a stronger rear arb this should help handling Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

New Forester S-turbo Owner
Hello & welcome, they can be mapped buy you'll have to pay for a licence, not sure open source software is available on the my99 cars, Cambelt is every 5 years on those too. Clock are a common problem, you can open it up and solder the contacts again but they tend to only last another year before its given up, (I've re done mine twice) gave up now as looks like a birds pooped solder everywhere. I'd get the rear struts treated asap as it's probably going to get alot worse very quickly if left, Pull the carpet from the turret surrounds in the boot as they often go all the way through Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
