WRX STI Hatch - Project Daphne
Whilst its at the mapper getting pops and bangs taken out it would be remiss (I believe) not to have s# mode with flat foot shifting, down shift blip and possible antilag option put in..............😁

WRX STI Hatch - Project Daphne
Soooooo initial plans, As with all my motors - PIAA wipers The pops and bangs need to be taken out of the map The ride height needs putting back to original clearance The yellow stickers are to go replaced by red or old gold..... Doooo love the JPS Lotus formula one car livery 😍. On the way back I tried a traffic light launch and the clutch turned into a smoke generator - I received feedback to say I looked a right wally from the missus who was following. So the clutch needs looking at, CC or Exedy stage 2 should hold things in place without making things intolerable. Oil and filter change Gearbox and diff oil change High beam upgrade LED side lights Rear parking sensors Front and rear parking cameras Work out what this switch does - Already established it is not an "ejecto seato cuz". There is a clifford alarm install so might be something to do with that?

WRX STI Hatch - Project Daphne
This is the new daily (The in-laws 88 toyota camry has had another failure so the RX {Delilah} will be transferred to them as originally planned) and Dotty (See other thread) will be my project (Previous discussions were around me having a 2 door classic more track orientated spec and build) I am under strict instructions that this is to remain close to an original spec to clear speed humps, pot holes in the car park when visiting hairdresser etc. Still working through compiling the spec but this is what I have so far 82k on the shell so needs some correction in places Ringland failure 2 years ago meant a rebuild using a 2015 STI engine with 19,500 on the clock. WRX STI Hatch - Project Dotty
Right so whilst it is rework I had lost all faith in the Torque UK connectors after some would seal no problem and others would leak. Photos sent back and forth to them showing the tools I was using to assemble the joints and the joints themselves could not identify the issues. So vote of no confidence and it has all been replaced by Racing lines kit - All have been tested and are leak free - last thing I need is petrol that is supposed to be in the tank and lines sharing the inside of the car with me

Vibration/judders when pulling off Impreza wrx sti
Wotcha and welcome - you could have broken your top hats with the impact, may have buckled your wheels (That tends to be more noticeable at higher speeds though)

New member, new project. Please read!
Wotcha and welcome - The reason it has not been done and shared is because it is not economically viable for the amount of parts you would need to buy to make it work. That being said IMO you have approached it in the right way and got a complete donor car with all the bits required to get the transplant complete. I agree with Savages feedback plus a couple of points. At the very least you are looking at upping the power by 150 - 170 bhp so some of the 1.5 chassis parts will need upgrading. I have both a 2.0RX and an STI spent more time taking bits off than actually driving them. The 2.0RX as a snarling standard 150bhp ties itself in knots with spirited driving alone. The ARB's (particularly the rear) are small so look at bigger ones. The springs are soft so look at stiffer ones (not necessarily lower). The brakes give better feel in IMO than the STI which I have always found wooden (even the AP racing 6 pots I am running now) however they dont deal with the heat well and fade after a few enthusiastic corner attacks - look at braided hoses decent pads and vented discs flushing through with dot 4 fluid (highest boiling point). While you have the car in bits look at changing the steering rack for a 15+ model item - gives a better (faster) ratio so you are not crossing your arms as much when hitting the twisties The clutch is a push item. The rear transmission diff on the RX is tiny compared to the STI so check that as you may need to use the Foz dif not just for the ratios but to handle the power or you may be looking at a WRX item. Tools - Invest in a decent impact driver, wish I had got one years ago as I spend no where near as much time trying to work impossible angles in a tight space trying to get a breaker bar on a rusty bolt. I would suggest replacing the rear diff support from an STI / WRX as it is alloy, lighter and stiffer bushes. That will help support. Other than that keep a camera handy and set up a thread in the build section.

WRX Sti for sal
I must confess this is one of the worst for sale ads I have ever read, little detail, no pictures, no keys - not the best way to market your vehicle

97 WRX Build
Wotcha and welcome - feel free to create a build thread and share your progress. Check out @savage bulldogs wrx thread for inspiration. To answer your question, I believe that is pushing the limits of earlier cranks so you would be better going for a later crank and completing the bearing modification. Parts - depends what you want and if you want brand new or not?
