Impreza 1.5r 2008 rear heatshield noise
I have done both before - Ran without heat shield, ironically a freer flowing exhaust does not get as hot. but repair washers mean you can address with exhaust in place

Its a justifiable viewpoint, totally understandable however you may be sworn to secrecy with @Mr B as he has maintained mysterious anonymity to date 😁

New here , possibly purchasing a blobeye wrx
As above go for the sti - 2.0 engine is fine for what you want - not sure if you can get a 'widetrack' sti with 2.0 engine though...

Any recommendations for decent garages? Devon, Plymouth
From what I know (word of mouth / reputation etc) they are fair in their pricing - however hold out for a @Mr B response as he should provide an alternative - in theory his own place?? And TBF he knows a thing or two about Fozzys that is for sure 😁

Help with new purchase choices please.
Spec c hawk for me if you want it for occasional use and shows - its limited run gives it more show appeal. The burble is an easy fix - unequal length headers, if not in place already and a de resonated exhaust will get that back for you

New owner!
I am using a K&N on my NA - have done for years on differnet vehicles, contrary to the instructions I do not oil the filter either as it can mess up the MAF sensor but I do not spend a hugh amount of time driving through dry sandy conditions 😉

Scammer alert
Got this from another forum - be aware This is a person to avoid mate....remember this name & company.....I’m absolutely shocked to even see him on Facebook,he’s stolen multiple 10s of thousands of pounds from people over the years. He disappears for a while then comes back, no doubt because it’s Christmas

New owner!
Wotcha and welcome - yup panel filter way to go on an NA motor. Look to lose weight and improve handling over engine / power improvements as £ for £ it is a better investment
