i dont have an issue with it. although i am using an ad blocker
  2. i've seen plenty of places promise plenty of extra bhp on a non turbo subaru, but im yet to see any of them manage to get anywhere near the claims they make. i'd expect nearer 5bhp and i expect any noticeable improvement will be in your head. But if you do go ahead get it on a dyno before and then after to see the change, i'd happily be proven wrong :)
  3. my dad was told 3 year 60k on both his 15 and 17 plate :S
  4. will be what ecutek have allowed it to do, does say you can map a BZR with it but not other subaru models.
  5. unless it has a turbo you wont see much in the way of gains.
  6. reality is there are pretty much a remapped hatch sti with some badges. so little difference.

Sounds like you need to get all the faults diagnosed properly, could be one fault causing all the warnings and issue or it could be multiple.
  8. welcome
  9. welcome. Dale will advise how bad and whats needed as far as the rust :) (body shop guy up at clinic)
  10. IM seem hell bent on removing Subaru from the UK, telling people what they want and not listening to what people say. Such ashame really.
  11. he doesnt come on here any more, but i dropped him a text and its all sold dude im afraid
  12. seen a few recommendations but thats about it.
  13. other than hearing the name don't know anyone personally who's used him
  14. way up north in scotland
  15. hes based at scoobyclinic, unfortunately he doesn't do general mapping now :( he's the brains behind syvecs so just consentraits on that
  16. not huge amounts you can do untill the main engine is sorted as far as power mods go :( decat and a map should see 330-340 and thats about your lot.
  17. one of those mods that some cars are fine with, some don't like and play up. You should be ok, but only way to tell is to get it checked out. It's always worth running the car on a dyno after any mods you do to make sure its not changed anything then you know its fine.
  18. depends what your plans are and what budget tbh. engine rebuild is going to be 4-5k at least, but if you plan to aim for 500bhp then will be more than that plus a whole heap of supporting mods. The 2.5 weakness is it doesn't have forged pistons so they are known to break ringlands and the headgaskets have a nasty habit of failing. It seems to be pot luck whether they fail or not.
  19. not 100% on him tbh, heard the odd bad story (which you will about most place, just tends to be how bad and what the basis on them is) but does seem to be one of the better ones. Very few people i would trust to map my car tbh Engine tuner, scoobyclinic, andy F and Pat H are prob the only ones.
  20. waste of money, ecu controls the boost ;)
  21. yeah, afraid so, the standard 2.5 isnt great and wont take much more than 350ish before it's at high risk of failure :(

NGK pfR6 for normal, pfr7 for tuned are the norm
  23. Im not gonna turn it into another long thread, but IMO (and alot of others), he's technically lacking in knowledge, has poor working practices and will leave you up the swanny if things go wrong, i'd sooner let a monkey have a go at it.
