  1. Opps, just realised it's a 2.0 not a 2.5. first port of call is find out how bad the damage is to the block, if its scrap then onto deciding what route you wanna go. Even if the block is fine you will obviously need pistons and rods may as well be done. It's all gonna be very dependant on budget
  2. its a uk car though, jdm were 2.0, although it says import i suspect its a parallel from cyprus or something like that.
  3. sti is no fogs, lip is option//aftermarket.
  4. Anywhere know any good places for gearnobs, gators etc?
  5. haha, yeah, thats being kind lol
  6. I would be more worried about oil temps myself, oil cooler kit (make sure its thermostatically controlled). my old one on my impreza Because the heat from the oil is transferred to the water (modine), controlling the oil temps you'll drop the water temps
  7. http://scoobyclinic.com/performancetuning.htm some info here
  8. not really sure whos down that way tbh, only two places i trust are a trek from you. Sure someone will be along to recommend somewhere
  9. Scoobyclinic are right on your doorstep and can supply anything you need. Other thing is are you going to build it yourself or get someone to? not the simplest of engines to build, need to make sure all tolerances are right etc etc (I may be preaching to the choir here but better to say and not need, than not say and need)
  10. welcome, shiney shiney
  11. get it to a specialist. A dealer will plug in, scratch their heads and have no clue.
  12. Interior will seems pretty cheap by comparison no mater which you go for. I went from and M3 to a hawk and you could tell it wasn't anywhere near the comfort level
  13. you called :D lol Built right they are awesome :) but out the factory they are pants :( and that was on low boost :D My type R now has a 2.5 conversion in it as well :D O and welcome lol
  14. Subtle mate, subtle,,, hahaha
  15. Unless i'm not remembering right, but im pretty sure the pictures on CA's adverts are the same building and locations as Clives use. Given how often they change there name is a good bet.
  16. walk away from anything in bradford. i noticed clives performance has changed name again ca performance or summit like that
  17. Fair enough, weekend toy classic RA would be the best, but not ideal for a daily. For that sort of money blob widetrack would prob be your best option, borderline JDM money
  18. Strange, even at 400 mine didnt after the filter was sorted. although was a hawk to be fair
  19. Lets go back a stage a mo/ Is it gonna be a daily drive or weekend toy? Do you specificly want a hawk cos you like it or was thats cos where the budget seemed to be?
  20. As said problem with the 2.5 is head gasket and ring lands. You can check at the time there ok, but nothing stopping them from failing 10 miles later. Personally if i was going for a hawk sti i would budget to drop in a set of decent pistons and rods, headgasket and head bolts. Takes away all the issues they have, but doesnt come cheap (prob 3k-4 Assuming all other parts are ok.)
