  1. Sod the rcm one, mate had two brand new ones fail in short order before going to a different brand. IIRC they are swrd ones rebranded in a fancy box Walbro all the way
  2. hmm, no sign of pics etc yet, i wonder why,,,,,,,,, hahahaha
  3. could be or turbo seals, etc etc. basicly oil is getting somewhere it shouldn't be, given the mileage i wouldn't be surprised if it needed an engine refresh, my type r's engine was pretty much worn out at 104k and while prob been driven harder than yours milage still does the same thing.
  4. no pic for me on desktop
  5. So is this a type 25? or just a forged hawk sti?
  6. blue tinge is oil, that is not good i'm afraid. Need to get it looked at by a specialist to try to find out what's causing the smoke then go from there,
  7. as above, also may be worth looking at some under car guards, sump guard etc
  8. haha yeah, some of them do make funny reading :D
  9. give him this link, will fry his brain, http://www.sti.jp/s202/top.html hahahaha
  10. thought i recognised the pics :D make sure you get it on a dyno asap and drive it steady till it is to make sure its ok
  11. one from sva?
  12. about going rate for a decent one now amazingly enough. what you get is really down to budget, you'll struggle to find a decent type r for under 10k now
  13. very different cars tbh. P1 is closer to the turbo 2k due to having more niceties than the the type r. Type r is a much raw ride given the lack of sound deadening, shorter ratio box and is more tail happy due to the dccd. I've had a turbo 2k which i took from nigh on standard to a 340bhp fully moded car bar the main engine and currently got a type r, but i went via a M3 and a 400bhp hawk wrx hahaha. Personally i'd want a type R, but given the P1 is a special edition i can see the appeal for one of them as well. I do know a p1 thats just had a full respray and engine build that's up for 12k which is middle of the p1 price range but given the condition the one i'd go for if i wanted a p1 given it's mint.
  14. Run it on vpower or tesco 99, not just super. super is typicly 97 ron. rempa gives better mpg becuase off boost they are normaly very rich from the factory and and can have the fuel backed off
  15. alot more raw performance, especialy if its a sti
  16. why do people talk about stages, what complete rubbish. anyway that said, is it a full custom map?
  17. Better option to drive it steady for the first few and last few miles. Makes sure all fluids get circulated properly and heated/cooled evenly. Save yer money
