ROSSCOSM Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 1 hour ago, Siluro said: SCANNER!!!!!??????? Haha 😂 pmsl I vision you shouting this in his letterbox, good point but any news Daryl?
Daryl Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 Haha good to know I need all the help.i can get! So the scanners finally here? Got the day off work today so gonna get on it shortly, I've not used one of these suckers before hope they're easy, from what I can gather you plug it in an switch ignition on but not to turn engine over?
ROSSCOSM Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 It plugs in your obd port which is under your steering wheel column, you can read the codes with engine running but all you really need to do is turn ignition on and the scanner tells you the rest 👍👍
Daryl Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 Ran through everything as the instructions said but no codes ? But check engine lights still on ? Wtf?
Daryl Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 Checked it with engine running and just with ignition on
Daryl Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 Just read it can be from !Removed! code readers😭 software error or somethin
Siluro Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Do you have an option to clear codes? I guess not if there aren't any. Is there any pending codes stored. These are codes that have been triggered but not enough to put the check engine light on?
Daryl Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 Checking now dont know if I can see pending codes on this reader but I'll check now
Daryl Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 Nah nothing like that on it jobs fooked

Siluro Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Bummer. I think Halfords will read them for a cost.

Daryl Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 Does it mean it's a bad fault.if that wont read.it?
Siluro Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 TBH no idea but I bet it is just the reader.
Daryl Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 Well shes in garage now so soon find out
Siluro Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Check your fuses. The OBD port can share the same fuse as the cigarette lighter for example.
