  1. Good show. What supporting mods do you have?
  2. Importcarparts.co.uk usually stock standard parts. If they're not listed, give them a call. Always a helpful bunch.
  3. Has he got to make his own way back to leicester? Atleast they've offered an apology and a remedy now. Dragged thier feet long enough. Can't condone the actions of the few, they should be named and shamed. No need for abuse. Clinic got their due now so threating the company or personally is too far. I like the quote about trying new things. Wonder what bright spark put forward from R&D to try a new diagnostic technique rattling a car over potholes. Can't see how it applies to this. Ultimately I think clinic needed this to drag them back down from that pedastol and hopefully they'll avoid getting a rep next time for being holier than thou.
  4. Yes. The immobiliser will basically lock out all electrics to the car until deactivated. I think all you'll have are central locking, radio and interior lights.
  5. Looks nice and clean. Welcome to the club. You have any plans for it?
  6. Did you have these on eBay and they still didn't sell?
  7. Be careful with those lower braces. I had one on a different car and when I parked up a kerb it caught on a slightly raised kerb and bet it to buggery.
  8. Very nice! Welcome to the club. You got a grown ups car now [emoji5] [emoji5] [emoji23] 👍 Forever ribbing my mate cos he went for an Astra vxr over an impreza or evo.
  9. If they're fitting a new ecu I'd let them try to sort it first. Sounds like a sensor issue. 0.7bar is safe running mode. Failing that sounds like you're losing your pressure through some kind of air leak. Check exhaust gaskets or and boost pipes.
  10. Ha yeah rods, pistons and anything else you can dream of. Have everything checked out and within tolerance. Last thing you want is to replace bearings on a worn crank. Head skim and any other machine work that needs doing.
  11. Usual cause of bottom end failure would be continuous use while low on oil. Could also be caused by an extended period of time between services. If the car hasn't been warmed up correctly and raced around it could cause big end damage. Age is a factor but it would be tough to pinpoint an exact cause. What oil was put in for this recent service?
  12. Welcome to the club. What did you buy?
  13. The warranty company should be able to point you to some local garages that will happily comply with them.
  14. If you have warranty best to leave it be and have them pay for the fixes.
  15. Sounds like an immobiliser/alarm issue if you're not getting dash lights.
  16. Didnt see your post savage, tapatalk unsubscribe me sometimes. Thank you for your reply. First off, got it sorted now. Tried numerous temp earths and no joy. Tried different head units. Took out a spare speaker and held wires on each speaker out from radio no joy. Then...unplugged the speaker loom and the spare worked!!! Hacked the loom and tested each speaker individually to find the rear passenger has failed. Reconnected all speakers bar that one. It was easier to cut the loom than start taking door cards off. All sorted for now on 3 speakers. Gonna find some replacements but I'm on a buying ban due to coilovers and braces. Bit of a strange one indeed.
  17. Bit of a strange one this. May be unrelated but I fitted my upper front strut brace today and after driving for a few minutes my speakers started to drop in and out. I've got the centre console out and tested resistance on all four speakers with a good steady number so I can rule out broken looms. It's not even one speaker each time it's all four together. My thoughts are considering a dodgy earth although voltage reads fine. It would answer why all 4 drop together. They're constantly off now unless I hit a bump in the road when they will come on for a split second. Could the strut brace have caused some kind of issue with earthing? My mind has been boggled.
  18. I'm not so sure about your alarm but it could be battery or start motor related at the minute. What year is the car? Do you hear any click click when turning the key to start the car?
  19. Fitted the upper front strut brace today. Had to run a few errands and somehow have lost all speakers. Swapped the head unit and no change. They didn't just die either, went on/off for a bit and now nothing 😱😓
  20. Yeah anti roll bar. If you want proxes T1R there are a couple on eBay 205/50/16 for £215ish and 205/55/16 £160ish.
  21. Fair do. I was always unsure. Stories I've heard must've been dangerous filtering. I have a roundabout near me where 90% of the time(True statistic 😂) someone is in the wrong lane but bib me up like I've cut them up.
  22. New head studs yup. Check the crank for wear. Have a check of the oil pump and water pump depending on age consider replacements. While you're at it just forge the whole thing [emoji16] [emoji12] [emoji23] [emoji8]
