Impreza GR Hatchback 2.5 WRX 2008 White Smoke
The expansion tank I am talking about is to the right of the radiator - It fills when the pressure lifts the valve in the cap, pressure from teh cylinders due to a leaking head gasket can pressurise the cooling system causing the valve to lift here is a vid demonstrating a sniff test

Cheapest insurer for young driver
I think you will struggle - my lad had same issue, it wasn't the cost or affording the car he wanted (Hawk wagon) it was that the companies would not insure him

Impreza GR Hatchback 2.5 WRX 2008 White Smoke
Could be turbo seals - try a sniff test, also is your coolant expansion tank being over filled by excessive pressure caused by HG failure?

1.5R 07 Hatchback engine swap?
I would say that could be done - I dont know if the ECU's, looms etc are the same (Avcs??) but it should be straight forward with a little investigation

HSD Coilovers Question
That I wouldn't know as I am not familiar with the HSD product. @Tidgy what is the standard ride height of your motor and what are you running with your setup?

WRX STI Hatch - Project Dotty
Bolts arrived, ordered from US as main stealer price per bolt was just eye watering and could not find an alternative uk stockist. First package from Yperion Titanium - Russia also landed, totally justified as they have a screw which means they can be reused unlike OEM items 😁 was able to mount front bearings, stacks of molyslip to try and avoid the rust building between bearing and hub In place

HSD Coilovers Question
Wotcha and welcome - I generally go for a 20mm drop all around from standard height but I like the wheel arch and wheel to be concentric to each other not closing at the wheel top / arch centre point

Rear wheel bearings word of warning
I soaked mine for a week in plus gas then it took 11t in the press to shift it. I prefer to use moly slip now around the brake areas - used copperslip for years but found more and more it would heat up then run staining my wheels When it came to the fronts I approached it in the way suggested by Mr B with his air hammer and lots of heat. initially a lump hammer and bolster would not shift it and as I didn't have an air hammer I used my SDS drill with a chisel bit. They did yield eventually but you can see the ring of rust, that was also matched on the hub as well they just go solid. I get the impression Subaru just assemble them dry. They are just a nightmare task unfortunately The most time effective way of dealing with them is replace the hub and bearing at the same time, far quicker but costs more in parts. The trade off is garage labour cost vs parts - Is the cost of a hub relative to the labour time spent removing the bearings worth it? Down to the individual for that choice

Bumper removal
The nozzle is held on by clips over a small tab each side, you can pull the washer unit out about 3 cm by hand then use a small watch makers type screwdriver to gently lever the clip over tab.

Gen 4 Postlift Sedan Rear Foglight location
The reverse light should come on with ignition on but engine off and putting the car into reverse. I would say it is in the clear part of the lense. A quick look under the bumper will show if you have wires going to the reflectors indicating fog lights. Your fog lights def do not work, you have tried switching the on with engine running and your headlights on, not just side lights?

Depends if the cars are registered as company assets or not. Looking into putting his company into receivership in order to recover the debt in relation to your ccj. You do this by submitting a petition in London. I had to do this once when a company decided I didn't need paying one month, slightly different circumstances but it may work for you

Its great it went in your favour, unfortunately he is not the only one out there who resembles your statement, too many are happy to put out slapdash shoddy workmanship for top dollar. But the fact that you are willing to record the events will help others in the future hopefully avoid being in the same position

Reversing camera for 2017 WRX Sti
Unfortunately too new for me, best suggestion is to pull the unit and see if it has the AV connection for the camera input. It shouldn't be too hard to get the unit out. On the 2008 - 2015 models it is pop the surround then remove the x4 screws
