  1. Wotcha and welcome - awesome motor, probably worth putting an initial price
  2. Wotcha and welcome. I own a 2.0RX auto hatch 2008 model. In answer to some of your questions. Yes it has a timing belt not a chain No mine does not burn oil The head unit I have in does not have a USB port but it did come with an 2.5mm headset extension jack in the centre console so with a short audio lead you can connect other media devices. It also has a bluetooth and in car phone kit. I have not driven a 1.5 version but I looked and the kerb weight is similar to the 2.0 so power to weight ratio will be a factor there. Fuel economy around town is normally 26 -28 with 40 on a long run. The 4 wheel drive is great but the chassis is no way as stiff as the wrx versions with the rear arb being 15mm vs 20mm. Brakes give good feel and initial bit but can fade with spirited use through heat. I have had no issues with mine other than a weeping bush on the rear differential front mount - I replaced with an aluminium version from an STI and saved just under a kilo in weight. The steering ratio is 15.1 vs 13.1 on earlier and later subaru models but the rack is interchangeable with a 14+ model. You could get clunks from worn front top hats (Suspension bearings) Check for rust / dirt build up on rear arches - there is a lip that tends not to be cleaned. The WRX-S cat back exhaust will fit with a larger donut seal giving stainless steel aftermarket options for replacement. Manual option gives slightly better 0-60 than the auto but at 9-10 seconds this is not a drag machine
  3. Wotcha and welcome - unfortunately I have no experience with that model but hopefully someone will be along to provide advice
  4. Try these guys - should be able to cut and weld in a sports cat https://www.powerflowexhausts.co.uk/Powerflow-St-Albans
  5. Wotcha and welcome - some healthy numbers right there 👍
  6. There will be a 12v feed from your reverse switch or light itself (if aftermarket)
  7. TGV is in the aluminum connecting blocks between the intake manifold and thes head x1 each side, they are where the injectors plug into.
  8. Wotcha and welcome - For most NA's spending huge amounts of money does not net the returns you would like vs $$$ spent. I would suggest a high flow panel filter a high flow exhaust, maybe remove one of the resonators and or the cat. A map will return some gains by matching all of your changes to the engine optimising plus removing some of the wider manufacturing tolerances as it is then working at optimum so some midrange and a couple of mpg gained. focus on weight loss and chassis - improve handling and braking plus power to weight ratio
  9. IMO dependent on miles since last replacement, oil and filter change plus new plugs
  10. It transpires the steering rack was already a 13.1 ratio so spruce up and refit old bushes with replacement Perrin items Brackets before cleaned Painted Painted and Perrin bushes installed Back in situ post all threads been chased and dressed Rose joints greased to prevent the rust that had built up returning, antiseize on threads stainless steel bolts and nuts plus split washers to lock all in place
  11. Go petrol unless you intend doing over 15-16k per year and distance miles not urban driving and if you are still determined to go diesel consider a VW
  12. Looking good - Good luck with the sale
  13. Depends on what is defined as 'cooler' My auto rx has oil pipes that run to a small modine heat exchanger which does some cooling but I wouldnt call it a cooler. The manual states if the car is to be used for towing a cooler should be installed as it will over heat - by that I interpret to be a multi row goodridge or secal mini radiator type affair that has oil to air flow
  14. Wotcha and welcome - are there any engine codes being generated?
  15. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to share photos etc and get stuck in, all friendly on here. The number you have shared is the transmission / gearbox code - details here https://legacypic.uk/transmission/search.php?code=ty752vb5ca The car code will be starting with GC8...
  16. Wotcha and welcome - I know when doing this type of thing for MX bikes I have approached a dealer as they can printout the details from their database. Is it worth contacting Subaru with teh VIN details and getting a printout from them?
  17. Wotcha and welcome - I would take the whole unit off, dry it out and then plug back in to see if it works. Next I would be hitting breakers to see if they had a 2nd hand unit
  18. The Crawley area has been requested before so somewhere on the site there are a couple of places quoted. It could also be the cam sensor throwing everything out
  19. Wotcha and welcome - not able to help in this instance but I am sure someone will be along in a bit to advise
  20. Hi - unfortunately not it popped up on the 'book of faces' and I can never find anything on there once I have read it 🤔
