  1. Here is a similar example to mine but different part number on box https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/08-14-SUBARU-WRX-STI-IPOD-30PIN-CABLE-INTERFACE-FACTORY-OPTION-CONNECTOR-09-10/253272529763?epid=1823967001&hash=item3af8381b63:g:XKIAAOSwQcJaFbR1
  2. I have removed a module from my slightly later impreza that might fit dependant on the connections at the back s/n A040049040645 Dont know if you have a manual but it might reference this for classic ipod connection. If not it might be an audio rca l/r module that goes in your centre compartment
  3. Sorry to hear but good lick with the sale and some photos tend to help more views
  4. Great to hear - yes could be an airlock
  5. Wotcha and welcome Depends on what iPod and head unit you have? Could you post some photos?
  6. Yup Hondas use JIS and Vessel are the brand I have
  7. The brakes on my RX give great feel (more than the STi which is quite wooden) and good stopping power.... however they cannot take any abuse and fade really quickly with spirited corner attack over a few miles. Have you checked to see if the pistons are all free? bigger calipers and vented discs are always going to be a step in the right direction though
  8. Welcome back Having tinkered with NA bikes over the years having unequal length headers will cause performance issues as the NA engine cylinders need a specific length for pressure waves coming back (back pressure) to the cylinder. For a turbo engine it is not as important my 2p go for a cobra manifold back system, sports cat or decat or cheaper would be the cat back option?
  9. No photos - didnt happen 😁 I think scoobs use JIS screws which look like philips but are slightly different, not quite as deep so sometimes, particularly on small screws they can be rounded off
  10. would this work?? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-Blob-03-Jdm-Sti-Breaking-Dccd-6spd-ej207-bc-brembo-vf37-Perrin/254355558422?hash=item3b38c5d016:g:IUEAAOSwpBNdd5XC
  11. Hi the answer is it might - it might not, looks like the cross over year was 2008 - VF50 or VF57. Can you see what model you have? examples https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-Outback-2-0L-Diesel-Turbo-Charger-14411-AA720-08-2013/323906806504?epid=1516664488&hash=item4b6a59a2e8:g:QmkAAOSwWe5dco-q https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-LEGACY-BL-BP-2003-2008-2-0-DIESEL-110KW-150HP-ENGINE-TURBOCHARGER-TURBO/183465220794?epid=1516664488&hash=item2ab7611aba:g:FFcAAOSwlKlbs27T
  12. Would this work? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Justy-G3x-Control-Module-Electric-Power-Steering/113771492825?epid=21030479052&hash=item1a7d4f35d9:g:qdIAAOSw3g5ch-T4
  13. I thought that was just for the sti models? ----- 2.5l engine suffering ringland failure, not necessarily just sti - through many reasons the wrx can fail also. Other than potentially a more reliable engine and cheaper running costs, does the blob have any major advantages ie better chassis etc over the hawk? wrx chassis are the same - STI for both differs vs WRX - larger bearings alloy wheel hubs, bigger brakes, the Hawk has a wide track option. If you dont want to go too extreme many wrx owners are happy with slight performance upgrades, filter exhaust map and thicker ARB's
  14. Wotcha and welcome - The earlier wagon (I think 2005 latest) has a lower tax bracket and the 2.0 engine is considered more reliable but that is open to huge debate. pound for pound a 2.0 blob will be cheaper initially and if you really want it is very easy to put a hawk front end on if you prefer the looks - or consider a legacy (2003 - 2006 is my favourite front end)
  15. Spigots - noticed the wheels were rattling on the studs - further investigation revealed whilst there were spigots in place they are not for the Subaru hub Now sorted all fits properly with no movement - at £4.00 a small ivestment to ensure no vibration of wheels and additional strain on wheel nuts Orange are the incorrect ones that came on the car, the grey the correct fitting repalcements
  16. That was a point of much debate believe me but after trying many locations around the driver area - as well as behind the first vent it was originally installed in, this was where it finally ended up. Part of the problem was whilst from the driver position it could be mounted and look fine but from the passenger side and through the windscreen it looked pants.
  17. That is a well prepped motor - super clean 👍
  18. Wotcha and welcome - Love a hatch me 😍
  19. If I was closer I would be there to help but it is a fair old round trip for me to get to you unfortunately
  20. Piston slap is the noise you get before the forged pistons warm up and expand to fill the bores with a closer tolerance - it should go when the engine is up to temperature
  21. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to get stuck in , post photos etc - all friendly on here
  22. Relocated the Toucan unit from where it had been glued into the centre console but the glue gave way as there was no support across the rear to the right vent housing with an alloy bracket to ensure it can take being pressed without breaking free In the future I will fill the hole and paint where the vent wheel went Before After
  23. Wotcha and welcome - I was looking at this one whilst browsing - nice motor and winter wheels as well included
