  1. Cobra do a full race decat system thast designed for use on track so not too loud if you cant find a second hand one.
  2. So cars done and i picked it up 😄 Managed 330bhp 360ftlb. Pull really strong all the way throught he rev range 😄 Forgot to pick up the graph so shall get that next time im up lol Turbo is maxed and injectors are at 95% so next step in a few motnhs is prob gonna be swap those out and remap to see what it gets too
  3. Should be ok on the 5 speed at that, the hawk 5 speed onwards is alot stronger. I ran 400/420 on a hawk 5 speed for 10k miles no issues.
  4. Onto plan B, dropping syvecs for now, price was gonna be more than expected due to sensor pack and also delayed things time wise which i can do at the min (need my car back for work by monday)
  5. Have you got a budget in mind?
  6. After a bit of discussion decided to go with a syvecs s6 as well.
  7. Finally managed to finish the running in and now cars dropped off at clinic for few bits and finishing off, Oil Cooler Geom 3 port map hopefully have it back next sat 😄
  8. decat, panel filter and map is a good option for power Suspension, roll bars, drop links for handling just depends how much you want to spend :)
  9. dont bother, sell it buy a turbo'd model. The time, effort and cost will give less performance than just buying a turbo. Bear in mind even the compression is different within the engine

    Advice

leaving a car running while unattended is what it falls under. Bit like if you left it running with the keys in it. Just depends on your insurance T & C's and how generous your insurance company is feeling.

    Advice

save your money, dont bother. Just drive it steady for the last few miles before you park up, far better for the car and doesnt invalidate your insurance.
  12. Are they saying it's covered by the recall?
  13. I know the dude who's often working in the evenings at the local shell place well enough to say hello if i spot him off the clock not in his uniform hahahahaha
  14. can you get AA or RAC to recover it to the dealer?
  15. hahaha, although think i;d go superchrger route myself
  16. looking good 😄 supercharge it 😄 hahaha
  17. mines not far off the same with similar type of journeys
  18. First off are you planning to keep the car? Next question is has the engine been stripped to ascertain exactly what the damage is? it can make a massive difference to the price, worst case, block, rods, pistons, heads can all be junk and need replacing which will cost alot to replace, or if most is ok then it wont be anywhere near the cost. Also you need to decided what your future plans are, do you plan to modify it for more power or are you just wanting it back on the road?
  19. They could well have looked at it and there wasn't a leak, you could drive a mile, check again and there's a leak. So they are correct in saying it's nothing to do with them at that time. However, if the part has failed (aka a leak is now present) and there is a recall to check for that very thing i would expect it to be covered, that is the whole reason of the recall, had the inspection found something they would have had to do it at the time. Since subaru is aware of the problem, i would expect they can claim back the cost from subaru anyway. I would speak to the DVSA and ask the question. I would expect they will take a very dim view if you are being fobbed off. !!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the DVSA that deal with recalls, not the DVLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Other option is speak to Keith Price subaru south of you (its 3 miles further way so not a major difference) and see what they say, the subaru dealer network is very hit and miss, i have one within 2 miles of my house (geoff cox) and they made a complete hash of some work on my mrs car, yet europa up north have been great.
  20. So was it just an inspection or did they change anything?
  21. what work was actually carried out? where is the brake fluid leak coming from?
  22. yes matey. both unequal length. (assuming not import which are 2.0 twin scroll equal length just to throw another confusing thing into the mix lol) Change happened at hatch when twin AVCS came in. (hawk is just single AVCS), the heads are the different. Alot of the blocks/heads are interchangeable, My type r was a 2.5 block out of a hatch with the stock classic v5 heads bolted to it (bearing in mind were talking actual engine heads that bolt to the short block, not exhaust manifold which gets renamed 'headers' just to clarify to anyone reading). Other changes did happen at blob to hawk, drive by wire being a notable one.
  23. Nor really tbh, they are pretty much a 2 door sti. So the usual rear arch issues.
  24. best way to describe them is Much more hardcore. Weigh less, shorter ratio gearbox, no aids like ABS, more noise in the cabin. Not sure i'd want to daily drive one tbh and not ideal for motorway driving due to shorter ratio box. As far as performance goes though a world apart for the same reasons as listed above and a much better performance car. Loved mine :)
