  1. Welcome along sounds like a bit of a beast :D
  2. Welcome to the club. Nice car and sounds good value. In regards to brakes I'm guessing the car has the older single pot front brakes. It's worth upgrading to the later 4 Pot brakes which a member on here recons and sells so it may be worth pm'ing Cusco scooby wagon about a set. Another thing to consider is getting the discs skimmed or replaced. Loads of options for all budgets on replacements. Also braided brake lines and high performance pads should be considered. One thing with any car I was taught when messing about with cars, was to make sure it can stop before it can go, don't scrimp on brakes :D Sure everyone's else will chip in with their 2pence
  3. sorry no idea. maybe call a main dealer?
  4. Welcome to the club. Do love a hawk eye :)
  5. Was reading the reviews for the mobius, pretty mixed. It's never going to be a GoPro obviously :) Seems you have to use a high speed SD card like the go pro to get the best out of it. The specs aren't great with only 640 x 480 --1.3M Image Format: JPEG Video Format. For the price looks worth a punt so there's only 3 left coz I just bought one :p Will do a comparison video when it arrives :)
  6. Ordered a cosworth Pannel Filter from Scoobyworld.
  7. Can't see any difference to merit the extra £££'s except for Milage. Although the cheaper one has had new shocks and aftermarket stereo.
  8. In total prob looking at around 1k+ if buying new pipes. Could do it for half that with 2nd hand pipes. Mapping will be around £500 if its not been mapped before as youll need to pay for the Ecutek Licence. About £300 if already been mapped. Pannel filters are from £30 upwards depending on Brands. Ie Piper Cross, K&N. HKS ect.
  9. Regardless of Colour you'll deff need some nice new Tuner Nuts. I happen to have aset of brand new only been on car for half a day Black Tuner nuts. yours for £20.
  10. I've yet to use my go pro in the scoob. When I had a track day I used a camcorder and got good sound. Only other thing I can think of is a separate mic located near the front of the car pos drivers side so you can hear the turbo. You'll need to get the frame as well as you can't plug the mic whilst in the case. http://gopro.com/camera-accessories/3-5mm-mic-adapter can get the cheaper on ebay.
  11. I found it tended to leave the window smeared for about 30secs when it was raining, on really works if you going over 50mph. Then it's great fun watching the water bead off. I drove for about 10 mins without the wipers on when it was hammering down.
  12. Final result and the subtle decals inc.
  13. Polished windows, polished exhaust, now just need to Hoover and we are done with the weekend wash:)
  14. Nice wagon, the green wheels were a bit puke inducing if I'm honest, what colour you going for?
  15. Was dark when I finished polishing off the gloss coat. Wish I'd taken pics as I went along the Bilt Hamber auto wheel cleaner was awesome. You spray it on clear and it' turns purple getting darker as it's cleans. I had a weeks worth of red stuff breaking in dust on the wheels. After spraying the auto cleaner on, leaving them for 5 mins, they just jet washed off with not a spec of brake dust on them. Just shamied them off and they were done.
  16. Snow foam, dried, washed, dried, polished, gloss protection. Started about 12:30 hour for lunch took dog for a walk and finished at 18:30. Also added some subtle decals. Will post pics tomorrow.
  17. There's a few choices around I went for a gold one, there are black and white also. When do wrap it, soak the wrap in water 1st, then wrap the pipe. Wrap it as tight as you can over lapping at least half the width of the wrap. Use steel cable ties to tie it off. Don't worry about the smoke coming of it for awhile this is just the water boiling off and the wrap will shirk to fit the pipe even better.
  18. Lucky you :D Would love one myself.
  19. Cheers Tlag, great point that I missed to put the heater of full.
  20. deff an Airlock if the rad is cold. No water is circulating. Just drain and refill as described above. every single sympton you've described is exactly what I had with an airlock.
  21. it looks like youve lost water because its trapped in the system and not circulating. If you heater is blowing warm then the airlock is after the heater matrix.], the warn air is being generated by the engine warming the trapped water in the matrix. There will be no water entering your radiator as it all trapped between the top of the rad and a point after the heater matrix. I have spent countless afternoons trying to solve airlocks on my classic, I was topping it up every day and the water was just disappearing. You've got nothing to loose except an cpl of hours draining it and refilling it yourself via the top hose and then topping up the header tank. I think you need 5 1/2 ltrs of coolant Pink stuff I belive. Bad news is if that doesn't fix it then there is a chance your head gasket may have gone. Any Mayonaise on the dip stick or in the oil?
  22. listen to the sound for the burble at the end, sounds like its gone back to un equal headers :D
  23. http://www.xxrwheels.com/xxr_530.shtml if you 18" and depoending on the offset and width you may need to get the arches flared. Think you can gop up to 8.5" width before you need to flare the arches.
