Canny that @savage bulldogs

Anyways, finally put the rear seats back in my car yesterday. Was killer with the heat. Going to give it a good wash on the outside today, speak to Alyn at AS Performance, maybe polish the exhaust if I've got time otherwise that will be tomorrow along with doing the interior.

dropped car off this morning at body shop to get rear bumper repaired and painted. he's a cool guy he showed me his car collection. he's got an 800 bhp evo 6 that he uses on track. a very rare 205 rear wheel drive. a mark 2 escort he rallies. and a new toy an evo 6 that was professionally prepared and engine built by the mitsubishi rally team. it was in Eddie stob art livery but he is restoring it to original to then sell on.

Doh! 0.7 bar is watergate actuator pressure. Boost solenoid controls that, and that's connected to AVCR. 😳 Thanks to Alyn at AS Performance in a Birtley for helping. Popped in, small shop, but very knowledgeable.

Didn't get much done today as my stepson had panic stations that he lost his keys (ughhhh every other week I swear) and by the time everything was sorted with him, I only had time to polish the exhaust to get ready to put it on! Came out alight! Nice and shiny! 😬😊

Tomorrow's job is a full exterior clean, polish and wax 😬

So I've been a busy boy with the car since I was waiting for insurance to pay out thought I'd get on with a job. What a job it was changing the turbo up pipe! An angle grinder is a must on a 24 yr old car 😅 Took the best part of a day and little blue paint. Here's some pics of my unusual Apexi VF22

Nice find, james emoji41.png

Did the vf22 come with the banjo bolts and is it a roller bearing core ?

As the journal based tdo5 normally needs more oil than roller based turbos so uses a less restrictive banjo bolt .emoji6.png

She's always had the VF22 since I bought the car looks like it come over from Japan with it installed then the gauges and standalone where removed to make it sell easier you can see evidence all over the car that it was once tuned up a bit . But yeah oil feeds all good and yeah roller ball bearing love that spin done noise when you turn the car off 😊

Furry muff , i just assumed it had the oe phase 1 jdm top entry tdo5 , due to the phase 1 inlet .

When i switched from the oe top entry tdo5 to the aps sr40 (stock location gt28) the banjo bolts supplied were much more restrictive. So much so that my hot idle oil oressure increased by 0.8 bar

Today I have mainly been swearing at my car a lot ! Last night my radiator decided it had enough and the top spout that takes the hose for the engine broke off 🤦🏻‍♂️ ffs just as I've booked a track day for Monday at brands ,

very angry especially as I've only recently spent £50 on nice coolant just for it to chuck it all over my nice clean engine bay , soaked my heat wrap , steam everywhere I thought the car was on fire , lucky I was only round the corner from my house and the car didn't over heat or get hot , Just as I was falling in love with it again this happens [emoji35] arrrrrghhhhh more !Removed! expense ,

It's rubbish quality but this is what was left in the end of the hose , didn't snap where the clamp was but much further back , so I don't think I had over tightened it :/ , but it's crappy firberglas / frp I had to brake it to get it out the end of the pipe

I spose in a sort of good way it was the rad end , it's booked in on Friday I'm just getting a replica for the time being providing it gets here :/ , funds are tight and this way I should still be able to get to time attack on Sunday and get some track time in on Monday :) I've booked a travel lodge and everything [emoji85], then in a few months get a nice ally one hopefully

Exactly what happened to my radiator when I was 240 miles from home while working in Cambridge. I did some swearing that nite. Over the week I managed to bodge it together enough to get me back home. I've now got a japspeed ally one in place !Removed! marvellous. So I to feel your pain buddy fingers crossed it gets sorted in time for you 👍👍

Trouble it's in Keighley 😲

I think that's a name change of another Keighley based company with a very bad rep

Not a place that deals in sports and performance vehicles 🙈

Went and looked at a glanza there that was asking strong money, there was cheap carbon film covering the dash in an attempt to hide holes, like big holes haha 10/10 for effort 1/10 for execution

That will be the one, used to operate under the name Keighley trade centre,

Loads of skylines was their thing a while back, all absolutely shagged to death and advertised as mint or shagged to death and with a massive premium.
